*Woosh*
Grant enjoyed the pleasent wind as he stared at the setting sun in the distance.
"And just how long are you going to keep this up?"
Grant said in a small voice.
*Shiver*
The woman in blue armour who was in a kneeling position behind him shivered as she slowly raised her head.
"Please help the Limia Kingdom...."
Her voice sounded horse, she have been kneeling for almost the entire day now, saying the same thing again and again whenever he said anything to her.
Grant turned his head as he looked down at the woman in blue armour.
"So you rushed through the guards without permission, injured hundreds of the Empire's soldiers including commanders and generals just so you can ask for help?....."
Her shoulders dropped as she stayed silent.
".....And you also tried to kill me, the one you wanted help from? I don't know if I should commend you for your bravery or scorn you for your idiocracy."
Her head touched the ground as Grant continued while shaking his head.
"You should know that the Empire is currently on it's way to take back the Stella Fort, we do not have the manpower to help another human kingdom right now, so I suggest you to not waste your time here and leave."
Even after what Grant said the woman in blue armour didn't flinch as she continued kneeling before him.
Giving her a good look Grant turned around to enter his tent.
"Please save the Limia Kingdom."
Grant stopped for a moment before parting the curtains and disappearing in the tent.
The place became silent again as the group of soldiers passing by from time to time will stop to give her a weird look.
Inside the tent, Grant stared at the dignified looking old man drinking tea.
Empitone smiled when he saw Grant and told him to take a seat.
"Did you find out anything?'
Empitone put down the cup in his hand as he said in a small voice.
"She is indeed the envoy sent by the Limia Kingdom."
It looked like the person was authentic instead of being a scam.
"Currently a huge war is taking place in the Imperial city of Lumia Kingdom and from the news it seems like the demons have managed to completely surround the Imperial city and are just waiting to launch a massive attack, even if we were to set out now by the time we reach the imperial city, the battle would have already been over by the time we arrive and....."
Duke Empitone continued in a stern voice.
"The Empire's current objective isn't to save the Limia Kingdom but to take back what rightfully belonged to us, Stella Fort."
He placed extra emphasis on his last words.
Silence regained the place as Empitone stared at Grant, although he didn't say anything but his intentions were clear.
The Empire would not help the Limia Kingdom.
Grant calmly looked at the Duke as he opened his mouth and said.
"How far is the Imperial city from here?"
The atmosphere in the room turned heavy.
One of the soldiers standing behind Empitone couldn't help but speak up in a hurried voice.
"Hero if you were to leave then the moral----"
Duke Empitone raised his hand as he stopped the man from speaking further.
But his message was understood by everyone present.
If Grant were to leave suddenly then the moral of the entire army will hit rock bottom, some of them might even become deserter.
As the supreme commander of the army, Duke Empitone should do everything in his power to make Grant stay.
But the Duke's next words were out of everyone's expectations.
"Three weeks if you were to travel with the fastest horse...."
Even Grant was a bit surprised, he hadn't expected the Duke to really answer his question.
Grant knew that the Duke didn't mention the time to make Grant understand that it was impossible to reach the place on time, after all the fact that Grant can fly is but common news at this point.
"Here take this."
Grant caught the piece of paper, Empitone threw at him, opening it up he saw a detailed map of the world marking the shortest and safest passage to take when travelling to the Imperial City from here.
Grant moved his head and gave a deeper look to the old man.
"We will arrive at Stella Fort in a week, make sure that you are back by then."
Grant watched Duke Empitone get up and leave the tent.
Just as he was about to exit, Empitone stopped and said in a small voice.
"My only son died at the hands of the demons three years ago, I hope that you will return before other families have to suffer the same fate as this old man."
Empitone left the tent right after saying that.
Left alone in the tent, Grant stared at the place Empitone just left from.
Honestly not being from, Grant didn't feel any hatred towards the demons or anything like the natives here.
Especially since he has read the story and knows that the truly evil ones were the humans.
Grant folded the map as he stood up.
.... Actually it wouldn't be right to say that they were the evil, after all how could anyone decide who is good or evil in a war for survival?
Demons killed humans for resources, humans killed demons for dominance.
You might say that the humans were the bad guys because thay were selfish.
But so what?
Being the ruling race of the planet and being favoured by the Goddess, it was only right for them to take their place at the top of the food chain.
Even in his original world, humans took down every thing harmful to them and enslaved those useful to them.
Let me ask you what would happen if there were another intelligent race on Earth?
You think the humans would be able to live peacefully with the other race and share equal rights with them?
What a joke!.
A war for survival will take place without a doubt.
Shaking his head Grant got rid of the useless thoughts.
'It doesn't matter to me what anyone else thinks, since I am born as a human I will take and make use of whatever advantage is given to me.'
'Humans?Demons? having lived in the world of Danmachi, I do not feel any hatred nor love for either of them, it is just a matter of benefits and that's it.'
Grant raised his hand and parted the curtain.
'Helping the Limia Kingdom will let me gain a tremendous amount of divine points.'
"Let's go"
"!!"
The woman in blue armour was caught off guard as she saw Grant moving away, hesitating for a moment she quickly got up and followed behind him.
"Hero the Duke told me to give you this."
The soldier who was standing behind Empitone quickly rushed upto Grant and handed him a stone with weird patterns on it.
Grant looked at the stone as a intriguing expression appeared on his face.
"Is this....."
The soldier nodded as he pointed at the sky.
"Have you decided to help the Kingdom hero?"
Grant looked at the blue armoured woman who was standing behind him.
"Indeed."
"T-then let us leave right away!"
She said in an almost shouting voice.
Listening to her, a holy smile suddenly appeared on Grant's face.
"You are right let's leave right away."
A chill went down the woman's spine when she saw the familiar smile on Grant's face.
Grant raised his finger as he said.
"Enjoy the ride."
Before she could say anything....
*Whoosh*
"Kyaaaaaa"
Drops of formed on the soldier's face as he saw the woman in blue armour sent flying through the sky.
"Tell the Duke that I will return before the battle."
The soldier absent-mindedly nodded as he saw Grant fly away.
Flying straight up, Grant took out the stone that the soldier gave him and injected magic power in it as the stone started shinning.
*Roar*
At the same time a huge shadow appeared above him, a wyvern wearing steel armour.
With a push Grant landed on the back of the creature.
Not long after another figure landed on the wyvern, she barely managed to prevent herself from falling off the creature by grabbing it's tail with her dear life.
"H-hero----"
"Can't hear you, we have a kingdom to save! let's go!"
"Kyaaaaaa---AT LEAST KET ME GET ON ITS BACK"
