Chapter 32 - It Has Just Begun

When she was still surprised, the girl approached her and whispered in her ear, "You better make a paper doll shaped like a doctor for my younger sister. She has lost a lot of blood before she died. If she was not being careful down there in hell, she might lose her soul."

Tang Li smiled even wider when she saw the teacher's respond.

It had just begun.

Be it her life or Ying Xuan'er's life.

Somebody was turning the chair down the stage.

The female teacher recovered her senses and looked at the girl who had suddenly appeared in front of her. She resembled Ying Xuan'er more by the way she looked or the way she smiled compared to the girl on the stage.

Ying Xuan'er had an innate arrogance in her. She was withdrawn but reckless at the same time. There was also a flaw in her character because of suppressing and protecting herself all the time while she was living in her home.

But, the girl who had auditioned just now did not show much of her emotion. She only tried her best to conceal her crime.

The female teacher did not stop acting because of her curiosity.

She returned to her role as the stepmother. Her eyes were slightly swollen. She stared at the girl and cursed her, "It's you! You have killed your own younger sister! You'll be punished for your crime one day!"

The girl let go of her hand slowly. Then, she put her hands behind her back.

She was not afraid of what her stepmother had said to her. Her face was filled with a calm and soft smile. The light was just like the stars at night and it made her deep brown eyes look beautiful. She seemed rather naïve and innocent under the spotlight. "Is that so?"

She was clearly challenging her stepmother. Her voice was filled with malice.

Her stepmother had just lost her precious daughter. She could not endure that kind of provocation. She gritted her teeth and replied, "You're the devil! A little monster like you should go to hell!"

The girl's smile widened. She nodded slowly. "If I'm supposed to go to hell when I have only asked you to calm down, what about…" She took half a step forward toward her stepmother. "You and Father who have caused my mother's death? Shouldn't you be in hell by now?"

Suddenly, the girl screamed aloud, "Oh! I know it now. You have done so many bad deeds. God must have taken my younger sister away to pay for your sins."

The stepmother's face paled.

The girl did not bother about her stepmother anymore. She turned and returned to her room.

Everyone could now see Tang Li clearly when she went on the brightly lit stage.

She was neither dressed up nicely nor did she have full makeup on. Her face was clean and clear. Both her forehead and elbow were bandaged. Her hair was even grayish-blue. It made look rather bad in front of the spectators.

They might have assumed that she was a gangster if they did not know any better.

The girl remained calm. She did not get nervous when the judges were scanning her from top to bottom. It was as if she did not see another girl on the stage. She went to sit down on a chair. Then, she tilted her head and arranged her messy hair. Suddenly, she seemed to remember something else. She turned and spoke to her stepmother who was still standing at the door. "Mother, remember to close the door for me when you leave."

That scene ended there and then.

She was greeted with a round of applause from the spectators.

The students who watched the scene just now were now discussing among themselves.

"I had goosebumps all over me when I watched that scene. I almost thought that she had indeed killed somebody."

"It's actually not bad. She acted like a cunning but innocent girl. She was much better than the girl before."

"Which course is she from? How come I have never seen her before?"

The judges who were sitting at the front row start whispering among themselves.

Tang Li had now gotten up from her seat.

She resumed her old self, timid and quiet. The innocence and recklessness were gone from her.

A thin middle-aged man from among the judges noticed her ease in getting into and out of character.
