Xie Wuji had gotten overly excited while fighting and had unknowingly given it his all, accidentally infusing Battle Qi into Ling Chuxi's Qi Ocean. With a start, he realized what he had done and was about to pull back his qi when he felt an extraordinary qi aura which unexpectedly held its own against his own Flame Battle Qi. Curious, he let his guard down, and ended up being trapped in an endless whirlpool, the Flame Battle Qi in his body easily getting sucked out of him.
