Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 A Glimpse of Grace

Outside the office, seeing Xia Yuxun come out, Annie hurriedly greeted her, "Xiaoxia, how did it go... Ah, Xiaoxia, you're crying..."

Xia Yuxun didn't speak; she walked briskly towards the elevator, hastily escaping the inquisitive gazes of everyone around her.

Behind her, everyone exchanged bewildered looks, as if they had just received a tremendous shock.

In the eyes of Annie and all the colleagues at the company, the seemingly petite and pretty Xia Yuxun was absolutely an iron-blooded true man. One second she could be stabbed by a knife, and the next be joking and laughing with them; she had once single-handedly fought and overpowered a dozen hoodlums who came to cause trouble at the company, earning her fame in a single battle.

Could such a tough woman actually cry?

Annie caressed her startled heart and looked fearfully at the gloomy and terrifying president's office.

"My God! Xiaoxia actually cried? Am I seeing things..."

Qin Fei kept the position of looking in the direction where Xia Yuxun had left, his gaze blank, "You didn't see wrong, I saw it too..."

-

I can't take it anymore!

Leng Sichen wasn't her childhood friend; he was more like Mount Everest! She had been climbing for nearly twenty years without reaching the summit, and every time, she was left half-dead from the cold...

With her head down, Xia Yuxun sprinted, but she didn't notice where she was going and collided with someone, causing both of them to fall to the ground.

And she embarrassingly fell right on top of the person.

A man's muffled grunt came from beneath her, and Xia Yuxun immediately got up and kept apologizing, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm really sorry..."

"Uh, could you help me find my glasses? I can't see..." The man groped around as he asked for help.

"Ah! Yes!" Xia Yuxun quickly found the gold-rimmed glasses just a step away from where the man was searching and handed them to him. Her own glasses were also smashed, but luckily they were just plain glass and not wearing them didn't affect her vision.

"Thank you!" The man put on his glasses, and seeing the crying young woman in front of him, noticed the cracks in her glasses from the fall.

"I'm really sorry, your glasses were damaged because of me! Could you give me your contact information? I'll definitely compensate you!"

That was the end of it; the glimpse she caught of the brand name on those glasses meant they would cost her a month's salary.

"It's okay, it's just a pair of glasses. Don't cry, really, it's fine!" The man's voice was unusually gentle, giving off a comfortable feeling like a soft spring breeze.

This warm voice only caused Xia Yuxun to feel all the more aggrieved, and she squatted down and began to sob loudly.

The man looked at her helplessly, "It's really okay! You don't have to pay me back!"

Xia Yuxun shook her head desperately, "No! It's not because of you! I just really needed to cry..."

The man finally relaxed, then offered her a gentlemanly smile, "If you really need to cry, my shoulder is available for the moment."

Xia Yuxun looked up in surprise to the man she had unexpectedly encountered.

He had a handsome face and a gentle smile; his hair was slightly linseed in color. The afternoon sun shone from the end of the corridor, hitting his body, sacred and pure.

Just like a prince from a fairy tale world.

Why did he look so familiar, especially this distinctive hair color?

Xia Yuxun stopped her sniffling, somewhat embarrassed, and gave a wry smile, "This is so embarrassing... Thank you, I'm fine now!"

"Feeling better now?"

Xia Yuxun nodded, "Where are you headed? You seem to have trouble seeing, let me take you there!"

"No need, it's just around the corner!" the man said with a smile.

"Then give me your contact information! I'll definitely compensate you for the glasses!"

After considering her resolute attitude, the man handed over his business card to her.

Xia Yuxun took the business card.

Vice President of Leng Corporation, Leng Siche...

She couldn't believe it as she watched the man walk away.

Was he really Leng Sichen's younger brother, Leng Siche, who had been sent to the United States for treatment due to an illness as a child and had only recently returned home after completing his studies?

She remembered being naughty as a child, even once cracking his head open...
