As the new day dawn, a messenger from the Imperial Arcane Academy informed Emperor Lam that when they came to lord Wu mansion to pick up the infant, and found Li's missing as well as her mother, lady Hue. And when sunrise, everybody found the back gate is wide open and lady Hue and little Li had disappeared, it's highly that lady Hue brought Li with her and run away with that man. But there are things still not clear in his mind, how do lady Hue contracted "the Madness"? Was she contaminated by the grey fluid? How? Does the man name Liu do that to her? If so, how? Is Liu a survivor from that creepy village? Amid all those confusion, yet another news stupefied him. Empress Aucelen test result has come in and the infant Li, is Emperor Lam's daughter. Empress Aucelen explained that, since ancient time, her people, the Elvases had possessed knowledge of some magical rituals which allow artificial conception. The problem is, how does Liu gain access to those knowledge? As those knowledge, according to Empress Aucelen, is highly guarded by her people.
"Hu Xia" Emperor Lam spoke as a familiar name come to his mind. "He still had the ancient spell book from the disciples of Ochwesi, isn't he? Maybe his stumper upon something like that in the book and try it out for some sicken twisted reason? Or maybe that's the reason he wants the book in the first place."
"You mean, this man, Liu is actually Hu Xia? It… it… is possible." Empress Aucelen contemplating "Hum… come to think of it, the man I saw in lady Hue's memory do resemblance Hua Xia, if removed the beard and moustache. And since he also has "the Madness" maybe he has passed it onto lady Hue to… easily manipulating her."

But to tell the truth, she might had known what Hua Xia's machination is, for in her test result, something had come up and worrying her. Something is very unusual about the infant, something greatly scared Empress Aucelen that she must seek council with her people in private. As for Emperor Lam, his search for the infant drag on for 5 years long, from countless leads to countless dead-ends.
