Her father calling for her mother?
It shouldn't be because he missed her. His taste wasn't that lacking. There had to be a greater reason behind it. Whatever it was, Odette didn't think too deeply into it. It should be related to her in some manner.
Odette smiled in response.
The woman grabbed on to Odette's shoulder. Staring at the girl with bright eyes, she expressed, "Good job finally!"
Did her mother praise her before? Odette couldn't really recall it. If it was her in her previous life, this would have made her overjoyed, but now, she couldn't care less about the woman's words. It held no value in her eyes.
What Odette did find amusing was her mother's obsession with Damian Albinius? It could be said that no one ever loved the man as much as Valentina. How could someone even be that devoted to someone? Her mother could have everything in the world but still wouldn't be satisfied if there was no Damian.
