The Queen didn't fail to notice the crestfallen expression on Jeanette's face. She was well aware of the big ideas that her daughter held. How could she not when she was Jeanette's mother?
But no matter how much it hurt Jeanette now, she knew that Jeanette would be happier in the future. Her daughter would regret the route she was so desperate to take. At least that's what the Queen believed.
After all, it was the norm.
Everyone sought after thrill at Jeanette's age, and nothing came out of that temporary emotion. Life couldn't depend on that. There was a need for something more stable and secure.
That's why, convincing herself that she only had well wishes of Jeanette in her mind, the Queen stood up and stepped towards Jeanette. She placed her hand on top of Jeanette's shoulder and patted on it.
She then gently said, "Crown Prince Eric will love and treasure you. He spoke of you really fondly."
