There was nothing but darkness surrounding her. Odette understood she was in a dream, but she couldn't pull herself away from it. Then, she heard voices.
The first one was of hers.
"What happened to her?"
Odette's voice was broken and hoarse. It was filled with desperation for a positive answer. It showed how she was weak and close to collapsing but stayed strong due to hope.
But that all crumbled down at the answer.
"I am sorry," a feminine voice responded.
That was enough for Odette to understand everything. She gasped. Her heart clenched. Although Odette knew this was a mere dream, a reenactment of a horrible memory, it was painful.
It was painful to the point she wanted to rip her heart from her chest. She would rather lose her sanity then think of or worse relive through that moment.
