Chapter 68 - The Bonfire

"Weren't you sleeping?" Odette asked the boy who now stood beside her.

"I was but woke up," he responded, "can you bring me along as well, Lady Odette? Please? It sounds like fun."

"We are going to have girl's time. What are you going to do, little boy? Just go and sleep." Joanna waved her hand at Adrian in order to dismiss him.

Adrian ignored the lady and pouted at Odette.

"Can't I go? I will behave, Lady Odette, and won't disturb you. Please," Adrian pleaded.

"Fine," Odette said, "Lady Joanna, Adrian is responsible for guarding you too."

Although Joanna expression fell at that, she could only nod, and then, her eyes brightened up as she thought of something.

"Spare the formalities. Call me just Joanna. I can call you the same, right? Odette?" Joanna blinked at Odette hopefully.
