The girl coughed. Her throat was dry. Dennis reached out for the glass on the table and handed it over. She grabbed it with her shaky hand and accepted the glass of water.
While drinking the content, she observed the younger boy. He solemnly watched her, and after done drinking, she placed the glass on the table.
"Thank you," she softly said.
He nodded before voicing out, "Stay put here."
Before taking any decision, Dennis needed the orders from Odette. Because of that, he stepped out of the room. The girl's eyes were on his back as he closed the door behind him.
She clutched on to the blanket tightly. The memories of what happened before she lost consciousness flooded into her mind, and this made her shudder. Her eyes roamed around her surroundings, trying to figure out where she was.
