Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Arrival of the Prince

The grandeur of Cross Academy stretched its arms wide, its magnificent façade casting an imposing shadow over Leonard, the elusive Prince of Orlando. Whispers of his prodigious talents and his uneasy dance with society reverberated through the prestigious halls, turning the air thick with intrigue. He found himself standing before the colossal gates, an enigma draped in detachment.

For Leonard, entering such a revered institution should have been a moment of joy, a celebration of academic achievement. However, the circumstances surrounding his enrollment painted a different picture. His royal identity exposed due to security concerns, Leonard felt the bitter aftertaste of disillusionment. The once anonymous student now faced the looming prospect of unwanted attention, every move scrutinized through the lens of his status.

As he stared at the grand gates, Leonard's voice, lacking any enthusiasm, murmured, "I suppose this is the place."

An attempt to slip through the gates met an abrupt halt as an unforeseen collision disrupted his path. A girl, her honey-blond hair mirroring his own, descended upon him like a whirlwind.

Leonard's inner monologue dripped with disdain, "Same uniform? Does she even realize what kind of place this is? Security here seems to fall short of its reputation, I guess."

The mysterious girl quipped, "Late."

Leonard, bewildered, responded, "What?"

The academy, an architectural marvel, sprawled in front of him. Towering spires reached for the heavens, and lush gardens whispered secrets beneath the watchful gaze of ancient statues. The air was thick with an academic aura, a sense of prestige that Leonard couldn't deny, even if he tried.

His monologue continued, "Late? In this vast expanse of academia, does time really hold such sway? Perhaps I've stumbled into a world where the ticking of the clock is more important than the beating of one's heart."

The girl, seemingly uninterested in his musings, eyed him with a combination of impatience and curiosity. Her next words shattered his internal reflections.

"I said, late. Are you deaf or just lost in your own world?"

Leonard, momentarily caught off guard, shot her a steely gaze. "Neither. Just contemplating the grandeur of this institution."

The academy, with its whispered legends and imposing architecture, had become the stage for Leonard's reluctant entrance. Little did he know, the chapters of his story within these hallowed halls were about to unfold in ways he could never have imagined.

Chapter 2: Enigmatic Encounters

The forest-like surroundings swallowed her figure whole as she sprang off Leonard's back, leaving him bewildered and struggling to grasp the surreal encounter. "Later then," she clarified, her words lingering in the air, a mysterious promise echoing through the rustling leaves.

"What was that?" Leonard pondered, his mind wrestling with the enigma that had just unfolded, a puzzle piece out of place in the canvas of his expectations.

In the aftermath, Leonard's escort arrived, apologies dripping from their lips for the unforeseen delay. With transfer formalities concluded, Leonard found himself face to face with the cheerful middle-aged Head Master, the embodiment of warmth in the midst of the academy's grandeur.

"You don't seem pleased. Is it not meeting your expectations?" the Head Master inquired, his eyes reflecting genuine concern.

"It's not that. I'm just uncomfortable with the whole identity reveal thing," Leonard confessed, his guard momentarily lowered in the presence of this benevolent figure.

The Head Master reassured him, "Your identity doesn't matter here."

Leonard, momentarily reassured, let his gaze wander, his thoughts a tangled web of uncertainty. "Hope that's true. By the way—ah, never mind."

'She probably skipped her classes; it's better to forget about her,' he thought, dismissing the mysterious girl like a passing shadow in the grandeur of Cross Academy.

"If there's nothing else, shall we proceed to your class, Leonard?" the Head Master suggested, breaking the spell of contemplation.

"At least this guy doesn't treat me like a prince. Hope things go smoothly like this," Leonard mused, a sliver of relief flickering in his eyes.

As both Head Master and Prince exited the office, Leonard, still grappling with the echoes of his past, remained oblivious to the intricacies of his new surroundings. The air at Cross Academy crackled with mystery, each rustle of the leaves and every shadow holding the promise of uncharted challenges and adventures. Leonard, the reluctant prince, was about to embark on a journey where the threads of his past would collide with the enigmatic present, weaving a tale that would unravel with each step into the unknown.
