Chapter 137 - You Are The Biggest Joke 1

Lily's fierce gaze along with her strong aura stunned Meng Meng. Taking a few steps back to maintain a safe distance from Lily, Meng Meng trembled raising her arm to point a finger out at Lily. "W...What do you want to do? What? Pick a fight? I already lost everything at this point, so I have nothing to lose!"

"Do you think I need to bother picking any fights with a worthless person like you? Think about it. Even though your parents are not directly from the Jiang family, Grandpa never mistreated you. Growing up, he would be more sensitive towards your feelings and made sure to give you the same or more of what he offers to other family members." Lily gently twisted the beads of the bracelet on her wrist.

"When you flunked school and got expelled, it was Grandpa who used his back door connections to get you back in. You promised to be a good student from then on and quit being a brat, but have you done even one of the many things you've ever claimed to do? Also, you stir up trouble and have messy relationships outside expecting to find validation from others. It was Grandpa who took his time cleaning up your mess."

Lily took a step forward, letting her arms hang loosely on either side of her body. She seemed rather carefree as she pulled up facts from Meng Meng's history. "Tell me how your parents raised you to become like this when Grandpa literally gave them all the opportunities they needed to succeed."

"You keep shouting and protesting that everything is unfair when you happened to be the most privileged. So much that you didn't need to work hard to get money transferred to your bank account. Tell me again, how do you still have the face to shamelessly blame this elderly man who supported you and your family of blood-sucking rats for things you guys are responsible for?"

Lily scanned the wedding venue once again. With careful inspection, she slowly pointed to different areas and obvious red flags to Meng Meng's face. Despite pointing out everything, Meng Meng refused to accept reality.

"This is not how it should be! I am from the Jiang family! I am the Fu family's daughter-in-law! This is my grand wedding and all my guests are applauding my successful marriage. I have a loving husband who spoils me and loves me. This is not a rubbish damn venue!" Meng Meng's face was beyond recognizable at this point as her tears drained her colorful makeup down her face in zigzag lines. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to compare her smudged makeup face with sewage water.

Her voice strained from all the screaming that took place. It was a scene that would make people pity her. However, Lily did not soften up when speaking to her.

"Look at yourself. Look at how you are now. Growing up, nobody wanted to compare you with anyone else. You wanted everything others had but you were never satisfied. You were insecure about nearly everything, yet you don't bother spending time to make any changes. Did you think that opportunities and improvement naturally falls from the sky?"

Meng Meng couldn't find the strength to continue standing as she slowly processed Lily's words. Her palm reached the arm of one of the nearby benches and her body followed the downward motion. She slid down onto the floor with sobs.

"You wanted food, toys, cars, cosmetics, and so many things. Grandpa gave everything you wanted to you, including the wedding money that you spent over these years. You've never once thanked him for it. Nobody in this world, including your parents, is responsible for your actions. Perhaps they did not raise you in a healthy environment, but you have every chance to change the way you live for yourself."

Lily turned her back from Meng Meng and faced Grandpa Jiang whose expression did not appear well. Her heart clenched witnessing such a fragile side of him. Growing up, he used to be her warm yet strict Grandpa.

"Meng Meng, your life is yours. Nobody can change your fate, but yourself. If you keep blaming everyone for your own actions and refuse to take any responsibility, you will never learn. You can stay the way you are and I could care less, but do not implicate Grandpa. This is my final warning. You and your family are no longer part of Jiang family. Never really was anyway considering the fact that you guys never contributed at all. I wish you guys the best in the future."

Lily walked back to Grandpa Jiang and leaned forward with a smile. "Grandpa, let's go to the hospital to make sure you are alright. Since things are already like this, there is nothing you can do. You've already done your best to nurture them. If they are still greedy over everything, then it is pointless. You're supposed to be enjoying life at this age and not worry about others."

With her hand on Grandpa Jiang's hand, she helped him up from his seat. Lin Que also assisted in the process on the other side to make sure Grandpa Jiang is fully supported. Giving one last glance at Meng Meng who was still mumbling to herself on the red carpet, Grandpa Jiang sighed and shook his head.

He turned around and whispered, "let's go."

By the time Meng Meng snapped out of her daydream, she saw Grandpa Jiang getting into a vehicle with Lily and Lin Que in it. She wiped her face with the back of her hands and attempted to get up from the floor. "Wait! Grandpa! You can't leave me here like this! You can't just leave me like this after this mess! You have to pay for these expenses for me. I am your granddaughter!"

Her screams did not stop anyone from leaving. She watched as her remaining hope drove farther away from her. She tried to chase the vehicle, but by the time she reached the road, the vehicle was long gone. "Arghh!!!!! Why is everything a mess for me??? What did I ever do to anyone? I just wanted to look perfect and find the perfect husband for myself. What is wrong with that?"

*Ding*

A notification alert populated her screen. She read the message and smashed her phone to the ground. "Hawk! How dare you! All my funds from my bank accounts were all transferred out!!! Why?! How the hell did this happen??"
