Chapter 103 - Ginny's Uncle

"Lily~" Ginny wrapped her arms around Lily, leaning onto her with her entire weight.

Lily laughed, "Aiya! Do you want us to roll down like hot dogs together? No need to go for lunch, we'll be the food!"

"Hmph~ Haven't seen you for a while and you're calling me fat?" Hugging Lily's arms closely, she laughed along. Sighing, she felt relieved she could finally relax without the relatives buzzing into her ears.

"You girls are here early!" Alan and Lin Que waved as they walked over to the girls.

Greeting their girlfriends with a peck on the cheeks followed by a tight hug, the two couples began walking around. Lily and Ginny scrolled through the family group chat and listed down things they thought were necessary.

After that, they roamed through different stores and gathered the items they needed. Up to a certain point, the girls continued shopping while the guys went to grab drinks. Taking this opportunity without the guys, Lily pulled Ginny to the lingerie and swimwear section.

Brushing her finger against many pieces on the hooks, Lily picked out a two-piece bikini for Ginny that came with a sheer layer. "This one fits you very well. Since you're shy, this sheer piece can help cover up parts of your curves. You should try it!"

"Eh?"

"There's an indoor pool at the hotel. You know~ For some fun cough cough" Lily winked at Ginny, giving her some hints about the upcoming trip.

Staring at the two pieces bikini, Ginny thought it would suit her body shape pretty nicely. At the end, she was convinced to purchase this outfit. Lily whispered, "Oh~ Alan is soo lucky to get a surprise like this ehehhe"Ginny blushed and said. "Shhh, don't mention it anymore or he might hear."By the time the guys were back, they had already made their purchases.

Since they've already gathered most of the items already, they decided to leave the mall and head somewhere for lunch. On their way to the exit, Lily remembered her couch having rips and dirt stains. Although she enjoyed shopping, she never liked going alone because it was boring. Considering her work schedule and laziness, chances of her walking around like this by herself would be slim. Having that thought in mind, she stopped and suggested to take a look at furniture stores before leaving the mall.

"I want to replace my current couch at home. Can we look around before we leave?" She asked for their opinions.

"Sure. Where do you want to go?" Everyone nodded and let her decide on the stores.

"Hmmm, there was one by the entrance. That one is the closest one from where we are. We could go there first to avoid running in circles." Lily held Lin Que's hand and guided the group towards the store. When they got there, Ginny wrinkled her eyebrows as she recognized the familiar brand.

"What's wrong?" Alan saw the change in her expressions.

She whispered, "This store sounds like the one my uncle opened." Though she could talk to Lily about anything, she never informed her about her relatives' family business since it was irrelevant. Therefore, Lily didn't know and even walked into the store.

Ginny sighed, "Let's go. It shouldn't be too bad since we are customers today."

Alan nodded and kept an eye on her reactions. If she feels the slightest annoyed, then he will take her away. Following after Lily and Lin Que, they started exploring the furniture store. Once they approached the couch area, Lily brushed her fingertips against the leather material and rubbed her fingers.

She was displeased with the quality and how badly the staff had taken care of the material. Even the most expensive furniture would drown in sewers with the way the staff took care of them. "I don't see anything I like. Let's go."

They were the only customers in the store, so when they were prepared to leave, the staff tried blocking their way. With clearance sale fliers in their hands, they started advertising for the couch Lily had just touched.

"Miss, you should reconsider. This is the biggest sale of the year. It is only to your benefit if you buy our leather couch now! You get more than half the price off. It is enough for two people like you and your boyfriend."

Lily grew impatient with the saleswoman and requested, "Would you excuse us? We are trying to leave the store, but you are blocking our way. I have no interest in buying that couch. I also suggest for your manager to teach you the proper ways in maintaining furniture. Or else, this store will go bankrupt sooner than you think."

"And who are you to act like a professional?" The familiar deep tone made Ginny turn around and glare at the figure. It was her uncle, Zhao Ng.

He quickly caught sight of Ginny and walked up to grab her wrist. "Ginny! You despicable worm! How dare you show up here after what you've done? Do you not have any face?!" He screamed.

Alan twisted his hand away from Ginny and shoved him away, making him fall backwards to the hard mattress. "That's one case of an attempted assault. If you lay your hands on her once again, we're reporting it to the police."

Scoffing, Zhao Ng sat up on the bed and pointed towards Ginny. "You! I'm going to take you to the police, and you will tell them that you knew Cassandra and Ashley! How dare you say you didn't know them? You obviously knew, but lied to the police officers! They're kept in jail and that resident is planning to file a lawsuit against us! Are you happy?!"

Crossing her arms, Ginny smiled. "Very happy because that's where all of you should be; behind bars where there is less time to show others your nasty faces. By the way, your wife and daughter are in jail because they tried prying someone's apartment door opened! What does that have anything to do with me? Do I know you guys? No."

"How could you be this shameless?" He growled angrily.

"Shameless? Me? Excuse me, sir. The shameless ones are you and your family who stole my parent's belongings right after their death. Not only that, you tried going after my inheritance. Once you found out I didn't have any money, you tossed me aside to let me die on the streets."

"Over the past years, your family has pestered and threatened me to give you money. If not, you take my money by force. I didn't lie to the officers because they asked me to confirm their identities. For all I know, my parents are dead and I have nobody left. Only Lily and her parents are my family. The rest of you? Just a bunch of blood suckers."

Taking Alan's hand, she walked out of the store. Lily glared at Zhao Ng. "Shame on all of you for taking advantage of others. Since you can't live as honest citizens, I'll make sure to give my greetings to the chief of the station. No worries, your wife and daughter will have a much longer stay. You can join them if you like."

Lin Que held her hands and left the store.
