Chapter 71 - Shabby Design

As expected, within ten minutes, the original necklace was delivered to the studio. Lily took a look at it and smiled, "This is Y.S. designer's design. As for the shabby design one, please reconsider using this designer in the future. Whoever the designer is for this poor-quality clover necklace will ruin your company's reputation within a minute of the marketing release."

Placing the clover necklace into Tian Yuo's palms, she collected her hair. Her assistant carefully put the original clover necklace around Lily's neck and had her take a look before they continued with the photoshoot. Smiling into the mirror, Lily turned around satisfyingly.

"Mister Tian Yuo, this necklace matches with me. Like you said, I didn't match that necklace. Obviously, only a genuine, charm by Y.S. designer could look beautiful by itself. With this necklace on me, I wouldn't need to purposely hold it to bring out camera effects." Mocking him with his previous words made her feel extra great.

Tian Yuo sulked as he cursed inwardly. 'How dare you look down on Karen's design?!'

In front of the staff, she posed in various positions that differed from the previous shooting. This time, the necklace spoke for itself as it brought the designer's description to life. Many models and employees wanted to look at the necklace up close. This necklace was more eye-catching compared to the other one.

One of the conditions on the contract had listed that the model would receive the necklace as a gift after the shooting is completed. Since she had finished her work, she changed back into her regular clothes with the necklace still on. Stretching her arms after leaving the studio, Lily walked towards her company's van.

As she walked towards the vehicle, Tian Yuo blocked her path. "Miss. Jiang, you must be hungry after this job. How about having lunch with me? Or dinner?" He suggested with a scheming smile on his face. It was quite obvious what he wanted to do. He must have thought of some childish prank to get revenge on her.

"No, thanks. I'm not interested. Plus, we aren't close enough to share a table. Even sharing the same air with you makes my intelligence lower per second." Lily avoided his touch and walked towards the van once again.

Gritting his teeth, he turned around and shouted. "You think I wanted to eat with you? You're just a no name model! You can't even land yourself on a contract to be a full-timer!"

Settling in the backseat, she rolled down the window. "Mister Tian Yuo, think before you speak or you'll be swallowing bricks of shit. I can easily sign a contract with any company. Those who want to poach me could form a list long enough to reach past your height."

"Ah, right. At least this 'no name model' is known for her own efforts and not through family surname. I choose to be a part-timer because I like being the way I am. Compared to someone who is handling business messily and still acting like a spoiled brat, I am in a better position. At least I have the right to say something, unlike you."

Pointing his finger at her, he angrily kicked some rocks on the floor. "Be careful and don't slip stupidly. You've acted idiotic enough at the studio. No need to add on to your embarrassment for the public to see."

Rolling up the window, Lily said to the driver, "We can go now."

Sofia didn't know what to say when she heard Lily's slapping comments against Tian Yuo. She kept looking at Lily from the mirror, wanting to tell her to not be too harsh when speaking to higher authorities.

Lily caught the look on Sofia's face for a while. She smiled, "Don't worry, he won't and can't do anything to me even if he wanted to. Our families know each other in private. So, you don't have to worry. I just wanted to give him a lesson for acting arrogant."

Hearing her words made Sofia relax a little. "Dear, are you sure you won't sign a contract with us? I know you've rejected many companies offers, but if you ever change your mind.."

Before she could continue speaking, Lily cut her off. "Sofia, my answer won't change. You should discover new talents who have potential to sign a long-term contract. I'll get busier later. The entertainment industry isn't for me."

Sighing, Sofia nodded as if she had admitted defeat. The driver dropped Lily off at her apartment. Lily went straight home to find Ginny fully concentrated on her laptop. Ginny didn't even realize Lily came home.

Blinking curiously at the girl whose eyes were literally stuck to the laptop screen, Lily quietly peeked over her shoulders.

Blowing a puff of air into Ginny's ear, Lily said, "I'm home!"

"Wahhh!! We..Welcome home. When did you get back?" Ginny patted her chest as if her heart had jumped out of her body and left her soul.

"When you were searching up ways to hold Alan's hand." She pointed at the laptop screen. Shyly lowering her head, Ginny closed the laptop. "You know I don't have experience in this subject. How would I know how to hold this hand without him minding it?"

Sitting on the furry carpet, Lily smiled. "If he minds, then why did he continuously hold your hand last time? Why not use an old fashion method? Hold his hand when you guys are crossing the street. Since you are worrying over an excuse, I just gave you one."

"That's true. I think I'm just very nervous. I've never initiated any actions on guys. The last time we accidentally hugged was because I tried scaring him. I wonder if I could do something similar this time."

"Then, would you be more comfortable if Lin Que and I are there? Maybe you'll feel less nervous." Using a fork, Lily poked a slice of orange from the fruit platter on the table and brought it to her mouth.

"Mmm...I think I want to do this alone. I might die from blushing if you two are there." Thinking about it made Ginny cover her cheeks.

"Hmm, I think you will be fine when the time comes and you two hold hands. You're thinking too much about it that it's stressing you out. " Lily tied her hair into a bun.

"You're right. I asked him to come out for lunch tomorrow, and he agreed. I'll try relaxing tonight."

"That's good. Let me know how it goes. Are you staying over tonight?"

"Yep. It takes less time to get to our meet up spot from here."

"Okay~ Hehe, let's decide what's for dinner then. Let food distract you." Lily winked as she opened the app on her phone and passed it to Ginny.
