Above, Chu Mirong hesitantly followed after him, her voice echoing in the deep. "Is the bottom yet in sight?" She masked the nervousness in her voice with a casual tilt.
The Ivory Sword Saint inwardly sighed, "Not yet."
The narrow opening slowly opened up and Chu Mirong's light gave sight to what looked like solid ground. Liu Sumeng let go of the wall he scaling and landed gracefully on the cavern floor below. The thud echoed, giving the impression of a much wider space yet there was only darkness that devoured the area, muffling the sight of anything else around them.
Chu Mirong wove her hand, summoning three more lights before plopping down from the cave entrance herself. Liu Sumeng couldn't help but glare at her, as though to say that she could have done that earlier.
