The first step was to kneel.
Yuan Xuelan did not feel comfortable praying to some unknown goddess and Liu Sumeng felt wary as well.
Mo Fei tilted his head, his unnaturally wide eyes bulged at them. "Did you not kneel when you entered? Why are you so worried?"
"We didn't kneel," Liu Sumeng answered bluntly.
"Oh…" Mo Fei began to mumble, "I suppose you two really are a Fated Pair…perhaps there's hope…"
"What?" Yuan Xuelan hissed at him while he dabbed the sweat off his face. His pleasant facade had long faded with the sweltering heat and his annoyance with the man's crazed words and actions. "If you want to say something then just say it clearly."
Mo Fei blinked at him, with that signature crazed look. Yuan Xuelan decided that he hated it. The man smiled slowly, "Actually…I had come here with my wife. But she…she got lost deep in the temple. I was wondering…if you could go fetch her for me?"
