[Author's Corner]

I'm a huge fan of russian names. I dunno why but they sound really cool to me. I mean, just having a name like Tarasov, Natasha, Rasputin/Putin (Yes, Putin is very cool), Aleksei, or Dmitri makes you sound like royalty already to be honest.

Sooo badass. (σ≧ω≦)σ

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about how I came up with the names.

I wanted my main character to be overpowered but justified, their strengths must come with an acceptable explanation that is at least plausible in one's imagination. He shouldn't be merciless but is ruthlessly efficient when it counts, a gentle giant so to speak.

The name "Nikolai" stands for "Victory" or "Conqueror of People" in Slavic, a trait that would be expected of an overpowered character, right?

I got the name "Elliot" from the 2016 Movie "Pete's Dragon", in which, the protagonist called so the forest dragon who had adopted him after the tragic incident that left him orphaned. It was a true inspiration for me to see the gentle and intelligent beast care for the child protagonist as they lived quietly in the wilderness.

But hey, wether gentle or despicable, who doesn't love dragons, right?

Primarily, I had trouble with how I could effectively portray Nikolai as a gentle character whom expresses legitimate kindness towards those around him in a fashion that let's the reader feel like he was a real person...and doesn't just squash people into crunchy lasagna if they were acting like annoying children.

...

Wait. That's it! Kids! Let's give him some liabilities—*cough* I mean, cute children! That ought to create the image of a patient and loving parent!!

And thus was born the adorable psychic, Seffa.

.

I'm gonna end it here for now!!!

I'll be posting stuff like this at the final update of each month, so watch out and please continue to support [ Butcher's Graffiti ]!!

Thank you very much, comrades!!
