"God Decaying Abyss!"
Only three words, yet the weight they carried was so huge that every True God, False God, and Heavenly King in the Hall started to shake with fear that trumped even their fear of the Heavenly Empress. No matter how much many of those present in the Hall hated the God of Lust, at that moment, none couldn't help but feel pity for him. Even the God of Thunder, who hated him the most, felt like the punishment was too much.
The God Decaying Abyss, the worst place in the entirety of the Realm of Gods… It was a place one wouldn't wish for even their worst enemy. And no God, no matter how strong they were, dared to go near that abomination. No one knew what was in the depths of the Abyss, nor did anyone know where the Abyss came from — all that the people of the Realm of Gods knew was that whoever was banished to the Abyss would wish for death but death would never descend.
In the Realm of Gods, Gods roamed everywhere and lived for eons without dying, but everyone knew that no matter how mighty a God, one day, they would return to the dust they rose from. Immortality was but a pipe dream, and even the Heavenly Empress, who was blessed by the Heavens and had seemingly infinite lifespan, would, one day, have to abdicate her Throne and leave the world forever.
Under the Heavens, no one could live forever. Death was the final destination, and immortality was but a delusion… or was it? Known to every being in the Realm of Gods was a method of achieving immortality that no one dared to use, and it was none other than the God Decaying Abyss. Known also as the Living Hell, the God Decaying Abyss was a place associated with fear and pain.
Once banished to the Abyss, one would never be able to leave. Death would become a pipe dream, and ones flesh, blood, and soul would undergo excruciating torture. They would rot, burn, and freeze until nothing was left of them, and then, the Abyss would make their bodies regrow back to normal. Their souls would break under the torture, yet the Abyss would make it return to sanity like nothing had happened.
No matter how they were destroyed in the Abyss, they would always return back to normal. It was said to be the spark of fire that fell from Hell in ancient times. No one knew where it came from or how it came into existence, and the records, even those that went as far as the birth of the Realm of Gods and the first God, the Progenitor God, pointed towards a simple fact: The God Decaying Abyss came into existence before anything else.
From the beginning of the Era of Gods to the current moment, there had only been six living beings banished to the God Decaying Abyss, and all of them had done unforgivable sins against all life. Compared to those criminals, the sins committed by the God of Lust were nothing but an innocent child's pranks. So, even though almost half of the people present in the Heavenly Monarch Hall hated the God of Lust, they thought it was too much to banish him in that Hell-hole.
Still, no matter how much one believed it was going overboard, none of them dared to raise their voice in favor of the God of Lust. They feared the God Decaying Abyss, but they feared the Heavenly Empress, too. No one wished to have anything to do with either, and no one wished to provoke the rage of either…
The God of Lust, on the other hand, didn't have much change in his expression as he heard the Heavenly Empress decide his fate. From the moment he was caught, he had expected to be banished to Hell and his heart was prepared. Although he was afraid of the God Decaying Abyss like every other person present in the Hall, he kept his emotions in check and remained steadfast.
Wasn't it just eternal torture? The fact that he could achieve true immortality there was more than enough for him to look forward to that place… or was it? No, the God of Lust cared not about being banished to the God Decaying Abyss for he had a plan of his own. And so what if he were to be damned for an eternity in that Hell? As long as he could achieve what he wished for, an eternity of torture in Hell wasn't something he couldn't accept.
A faint smile appeared on the God of Lust's face and he said in the same lascivious tone as before, "To have the most beautiful woman in existence accompany me to Hell would be an honor! This lustful one is pleased and looks forward to our journey together, Your Highness!"
The last of his words were spoken with a playful tone, and made everyone in the Hall feel something was wrong, while the Heavenly Empress also tilted her head slightly to the side, pondering over the meaning behind the God of Lust's words. Still, no matter how much they thought about his words, they couldn't comprehend what the God of Lust was plotting.
Was he trying to say that he would drag the Heavenly Empress down into the Abyss with him? He had to be an absolute fool if that was what he meant to say. After all, the Heavenly Empress was protected by the Heavens and didn't need to worry about the Abyss devouring her as long as she had a Heavenly Edict on her person.
There had never been a record of the God Decaying Abyss swallowing the reigning Monarch of the Heavenly Monarch Hall. And the records left behind by the Progenitor God clearly stated that the Edict of Heaven could temporarily suppress the God Decaying Abyss. Temporarily, though, was the word one needed to look at closely.
