Chapter 14 - Depression is Contagious

Don't come near me, I'll get you sick too.

Everybody can't see it on me,

Please walk away, you can still start life anew.

Run before you're no longer free-

End, it's always too late.

Suddenly life slows down, and you no longer feel present,

Sorely unable to make this feeling taper.

In a glance, a life can be gone.

Only ones' self can try to stop the spread.

Now it spreads to loved ones theron,

Inexplicably rendering them with a thread.

Said thread lingers, slowly growing,

Constantly bombarded with the existential dread.

Ousting your sense of comfort slowly without knowing,

Nevertheless you live life, make friends.

Temporarily unnoticed, this illness not slowing,

And when you give up, to your loved ones it lends.

Going from person to person,

In every life does this consume you,

Over and over it worsens,

Unintentionally being passed on through.

Stringing entire generations on till they're gone.
