It didn't take that long actually.
Each person seemed to have been inside for no more than 5 minutes or so. Everyone who came out had varying expressions. Some were happy, some sad. Some were angry and some were just straight out confused or just had blank expressions.
It didn't take long for my turn to come up.
"Deus? Calling for Deus! Please walk into the room" A voice from inside the room had spoken out. It sounded old. Like an old man.
I hastily walked into the room to be met by 3 people of varying appearances.
The leftmost man seemed to be the one who had called him in. He had a very fit build, seemed to be in his 70s with his white hair and beard and was holding onto a long pole whose ends had some form of cloth attached to it.
The man on the center was slightly younger, maybe around 50s, starting to get grey hairs around the side but had a much longer beard that reached almost below his belly. He was quite chubby and though it didn't look like so due to the robe he was wearing, it could not escape Deus's sight as he tapped his forehead twice as he walked in. He was holding onto a strange book that seemed as if it was glowing.
The last person on the right was a female, around the age of mid-30s. She had dark hair white eyes that seemed as if they almost glowed in the dark. She wore a set of tight leather armor and had a short bow on her back as well as a set of wooden daggers in their sheath by their thighs.
'All non-players but with a tremendous amount of data branching out from inside them... They have experienced and evolved a lot...'
"Hello, young man." The man on the left spoke out. "I am Hui the chief melee instructor at this training hall here in the Cinders Village."
'Oh, the village name is Cinders... I should've found out about this first.'
[This data had already been archived. Had you asked, you would've known.]
'Oh... Well, I should ask you questions more often.'
[Please only ask questions if they are completely necessary, my name is best used in gathering more data.]
'Tsk... Alright.'
"And I" The man in the middle spoke out. "Am Scamander. The head magus of this village here and the captain of the 2nd magus brigade of the empire. Though I'm on holiday. Also, this old man here didn't explain but he's actually the ex-commander in chief of the Empire's army. He retired here in peace for old age but couldn't sit still so here he is, training newbies and hoping a genius arrives by his footsteps." The man in the center spoke as he pointed towards Hui.
"Captain Scamander, shut it before I smack you back to the army." Hui glared at Scamander.
"Ahaha! Sorry sorry! Let us continue" Hui responded with a chuckle.
"Hello boy, my name is Hela. I am the archery and assassin instructor of Cinders Village. Unlike these two meatheads over here, I have no association with the army of the empire. And I do not care for it either." The woman spoke in a cold manner as her eyes stared deep into Deus's eyes. Almost as if she was trying to pierce through them with her own.
"Oh trust me, her 'association' is much more terrifying than the empire haha." Scamander chuckled.
"Scamander, did you already forget what happened 3 days ago?" Hela turned towards the magus.
"..." The Magus looked down in silence.
"Ahem." Hui coughed out. "Anyways, is there a melee fighting style you're more inclined towards? Your build seems to be pretty good for a heavy weapon, are you interested? Imagine hacking into the monsters with your own bare hands or guarding a teammate up close during their most precious moments, choose the melee path and your weapon will become your way of life. Hone it and reach the apex!" He exclaimed out loudly.
"Pah, what's so good about weapons? Boy, imagine being able to wield the elements and the mysteries of the unknown at your fingertips. You won't even have to go near the monsters and even in the case one got near you, you could simply blink away yourself or even send the monster flying away. Given that you have the spells and potential for them of course." Scamander spoke out proudly. "The world shall tremble beneath your powers. Fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, light, dark and so many elements. Summoning? Necromancy? It is all within the knowledge known as Magic."
"Braindead numbnuts," Hela spoke out. "Weapons are merely tools. Magic? Simple parlor tricks"
Hela paused as she glared into Deus's eyes.
"I teach how to shoot an arrow from a bow and how to fight with daggers, and probably almost every weapon that Hui can teach as well." She spoke.
"But not to the extent I can" Hui butted in.
"True." Hela did not refute. "But I don't only teach you how to fight. Young boy, I teach you... How to kill. I will teach you to lose your heart, your emotions. Everything you've cared for and everything you've wanted to kill will become equal. The world will become grey. I will turn you into a ruthless machine whose only goal is to kill"
*shiver*
A chill ran down the back of Deus as he heard those words.
"Oh..." I replied with a squeak.
"Don't worry about her too much, but be careful of angering her. She has killed more people than everyone you've seen throughout your entire life added up. And monsters? We can't even begin to count. Don't believe her looks either. She''s actually the eldest of us all." Hui spoke out.
Hela's head turned 90 degrees from Deus to Hui with a terrifying glare.
"Ahem...We will test you very simply in the potential in these fields. Of course, there are many more fighting methods and different instructors out in the world, but Cinders village only has us." Hui spoke with a smile while trying his best to ignore the laser death glare he was receiving from his side. "We shall start with your melee potential. Please take off your clothes."
"My what!?"
