On the outskirts of the human village called King's Crossing, a young man named Tiberius Blood~Fallen is getting ready for his first day of guard duty. When the knight commander called all the city guard to the front gates. With haste, Tiberius ran as fast as he could to the battlements. Upon his arrival, looming on the horizon was a massive army marching toward them. A deathly silence fell over the wall as they watched this unknown army march.
Till someone yelled out. "DRAGONS!"
At that moment Tiberius spotted the four dragons flying over the army. Then his heart dropped. The first thing Tiberius did was load his crossbow, thinking about his mother and father.
The dragons roared, echoing through the valley.
"WHAT ARE YOU PANSIES WAITING FOR--AN INVITATION TO YOUR STATIONS!?"
Finally, the knight commander shouted. Tiberius, already at his siege defense position, took aim.
The army was about 30 kon out when Tiberius yelled, "PRAY TO WHATEVER GOD YOU BELIEVE IN CUZ YOU'll NEED THE HELP!"
10 kon out, the commander called for the army to identify themselves but no one responded. Then the army raised its flags--it was the royal army of the crowned prince. A man on horseback approached the gate.
"IN THE NAME OF THE CROWNED PRINCE LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS PEACEFULLY," said Lord Tommus, as the dragons circled like vultures. "T..this village is under the protection of the emperor of the holy flame empire?" the knight commander said.
"Tis a shame that was your one chance to live." sneered Lord Tommus, and with a wave of his hand, he moved back to the prince's army.
The commander looked shaken. Suddenly fire raced the length of the battlements. That's when Tiberius jumped off the battlements, simultaneously firing a bolt at the first man in his sites. At that moment he caught an arrow to his right shoulder, causing him to drop his crossbow.
"In the name of Marthus can this get any worse!" yelled Tiberius. He took his battle-ax off his back and began rushing toward the army as they charged him. When they met, using every bit of his strength, he swung at the front lines--cutting throw the plate armor like paper. He knew that he was the only thing between this army and his family. Suddenly there was an explosion from the gate. A mage blasted the gate open. While Tiberius was distracted by the explosion, he felt an extraordinary pain through his back into his chest. When he looked down to see a dark crimson red.
"What is this I... I feel…so weak."
Then it clicked that it was his blood. Someone ran him through. The world darkened around him as a cold chill crept through his body. It became harder and harder to think till there was nothing, no light, no mead hall, no pearly white gate…. Only blackness, a void. But power lies here an ancient power.
Now there's a voice, but it's almost as if it was always there. "Do you wish to walk once again? You only need to will it to be so." Tiberius reached out to grab something, anything.
"Arise minion of the dead--feel the life enter you once more and serve me till I join you. Ash to ash dust to dust return as you must!"
"Whose voice is that?" spoke Tiberius. Then he realized he could feel his arms & legs again. As he opened his eyes, there stood a beautiful woman with raven black hair, skin white as snow, eyes green as emerald. "OH, umm d… did it work?" said the young lady.
Calmly Tiberius asked, "Did what work and what happened to my family?" The lady just stood there slack-jawed, almost like she wasn't expecting Tiberius to talk. "Well, speak". He was starting to fear the worse. Finally, the woman shook her head as if to steady herself, "Did you live here?" she asked quietly, with pity in her voice.
"Yes, why? Did anyone survive? Is my mother and father OK?" shouted Tiberius. "My name is Elizabeth Shatter-shield; I am a necromancer. Well, I'm just starting out, but something is off..." Elizabeth pulled out a large black book with strange symbols on the covers. "The spell I used was a level one undead; you should be a mindless zombie?" Then Tiberius noticed he was in what was left of a house."So my family is…." sniffled Tiberius. Elizabeth was thumbing through the book, and we sat there for a while not talking.
Finally, Tiberius stood up and walked outside. Elizabeth shot up, yelling, "And where do you think you are going?!" Tiberius looked back at her with sorrow in his eyes. "To kill the crowned prince!" Then he kept walking. As he walked through the ruins of the village, out of the corner of his eye he saw a limp hand behind the shattered watchtower. Expecting the worst, he slowly walked over to see who was lying there. Ones he turned the corner, he stopped dead.
"How dare you leave without my permission; I brought you back to life; you are supposed to be my undead slave for Arkus' sake!" screamed Elizabeth, as she ran to catch up with Tiberius. "Uhg… at least tell me what your name is then?" she finally asked.
Tiberius just stood there quietly, then he began to sob over a corpse of an elven woman "why, WHY, how could they do this?" Elizabeth placed her hand on his shoulder. "Who was she?" asked Elizabeth. Tiberius turned and looked at Elizabeth. "That's my mother." "So you were adopted?" asked Elizabeth, with a confused look. "I get that a lot, but that my actual mother, she was an elf. And you asked for my name; it's Tiberius Altarus Bloodfallen." In a stunned state, Tiberius stood up, then stumbled to what was left of a shed. As Elizabeth watched, he came out with a shovel, then started to dig a hole. After one or two hours, he had dug 2 graves. As he placed his mother in one, Elizabeth asked, "Who's the other one for?" Tiberius just looked at her. "If my mother, is in one then who else would I want to bury?"
They finished up around dusk, so they decided to stay the night in one of the more intact houses."Go get some firewood. It's too cold!" griped Elizabeth. Strangely Tiberius didn't feel the cold, but he agreed to get the firewood -- more to shut Elizabeth up than to warm up. After he went out to gather some wood to burn, he saw a hellhound chowing down on the corpse of a child. Quickly he grabbed a board and ran at the beast. Once he got close enough, he swung at the hound, "WHAP!!" In one hit --no thanks to his freakish strength-- he took the beast's head destroying the board. After mourning the child, he took the hound back to the house they were staying in."I have good news and bad news; the good news is, I got the wood and dinner; the bad news: demons are around here," spoke Tiberius in a dull voice. Elizabeth was stunned to see what was left of the hellhound. "How did you, you kill such a beast with no injuries to yourself?" she stammered. Tiberius smiled with a sad look in his eyes. "If you would have stuck around, you would have seen my father was a dwarf; now go to sleep!" After saying that, Tiberius took an empty room, leaving Elizabeth slack-jawed. "You are half-dwarf and half-elf? No, I command you to return and explain! Now?" Unfortunately, Tiberius was already fast asleep. As he started to dream, a voice emerged from the silence, "Tiberius awake! We haven't much time, Tiberius! Oh, there you are. Get up. up and at 'em boy."
Tiberius was confused. He had heard that undead didn't dream. "Who are you? I don't know you?"
Tiberius' vision started to return. To his horror, it was a cloaked figure using a scythe as a walking cane. "I guess you wouldn't know me, but in time you will. Everyone does one way or another. But as I said, we haven't much time. So I'll be brief. Here's a gift or curse. It all depends on you." With that, a black and deep red mist began rushing into his mouth; Then he heard his mother's and father's voices crying in the distance. Tiberius ran in the direction of their voices. He arrived at a graveyard that seem to never end. It went quiet. The stranger with the scythe, still next to him, spoke up, "The cursed world where one will never die; It would seem you are perfect for this place." With that, the stranger turned into a crow and flew off.
Tiberius, left standing there, spotted someone off in the distance, so he crossed through the gates. "This place isn't all that bad if it wasn't for the feeling of being watched." After what he would have guessed was 15 to 20 minutes of constant walking, he was able to make out the person. It was a woman. Tiberius was stunned by her lack of a right eye and left arm. In their place was the same mist constantly pouring out! Tiberius moved slowly backward till he bumped into a large skeletal beast. He did not know what the strange thing was. He didn't remember walking past it. That's when he realized that the same mist was coming from its eyes. "S**T!" screamed Tiberius, as the beast stood up. "Wait one second so we can talk!"
Tiberius ran as fast as he could then poof he was on a wagon pulled by an undead horse, and as luck would have it, Elizabeth was the driver. "Oh joy just what I've always wanted--to be dragged along like luggage." With that Tiberius popped Elizabeth in the head. "First things first-- where are we headed? After that you are going to tell me about the horses--understand?" Elizabeth while rubbing her head in the spot that Tiberius hit "you are not a morning person are you?" she spoke in a terrified voice. As Tiberius sat down next to Elizabeth than took the reins. "Now at least tell me our destination" Elizabeth was clearly trying to outrun something but what Tiberius gave it a brief thought and passed it off as Elizabeth being crazy still the problem he had no clue where they were headed "calm down a bit we are safe I won't ask what caused you to flip but--" He embraced her. "--We are safe now," he told her softly. Elizabeth looked up at Tiberius "thank you I needed that" Tiberius releases her "Now where are we headed" Elizabeth looked deep in thought for a moment "we can go to idan or to the northern hub" Tiberius was slightly puzzled the northern hub is the last city before you cross into the snowy northern mountains that's the dwarven country to the well north and kings crossing was in the south how far was he from home but be for he could ask they stopped there was a woman lying face down on the path in front of them without a word Tiberius climbed off the wagon and then went to cheek on her. He heard a loud crash from the wood. Suddenly a large Moose-pig charged toward him. The only thing he can do is try to block the sharp tusks from killing him. Thus he grab its tusk and shove it down breaking the tusk broke off in the process as the beast charged for a second time Tiberius took the tusk and rammed it into its right eye.
After the battle, Tiberius went to cut up the pig but then he saw it should have already been dead. Its guts were hanging out, dragging on the ground with various weapons in its hide. "WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K" Tiberius exclaims, after seeing the beast. Elizabeth slowly worked her way over to Tiberius. "This is the work of a powerful necromancer; I'd say third order at least." "Well? Are you going to move her off the street or not?" inquired Elizabeth. Tiberius shrugged and bent down to move the body but when he touched the corpse a sickly green fog began to roll out of the mouth. Then bang -- like a dagger in his brain, memories flashed before him -- yet not his own. It was the dead woman's memories. Then, just as fast as it started, it was over. Left standing there, Tiberius was trying to figure out what that was. BOOM! A small shock wave shot out from the body then it began to stand up, clearly having trouble. Once she finally made her way to her feet, she spoke,
"M--master Bloodfallen."
She stared at Tiberius, "What do you mean Master Bloodfallen?" Just then Elizabeth stepped in front of Tiberius. "Looks like you can raise the dead ". The woman just stood there "Master why keep company with such a novice, Oh she's your pet!" she shouts after that she walked over to the cart and sat in the back. "You need to get read of her now" whispered Elizabeth. "What no she seems fun but, I don't trust her now pipe down" "pet" snickers Tiberius then he walked over to the cart and jumped on. Elizabeth angrily stomped over to the cart and climbed up "So what do we call you anyway" she asked staring into the woman's eyes. "Master needs to give me a name sines we are going to get married". Suddenly Tiberius jumped "well umm well you see umm I'm not ready for a commitment of that magnitude? As for a name I'm just going to call you Alexandra, Alex for short." then they set off once again the group traveled till late afternoon. When they came across a tavern so they stopped there."master the band is so lively can we dance?" asked Alex. Tiberius thought about this for a moment then agreed "I've not danced sines the harvest festival last year" he smiled as for Elizabeth she was at the bar trying to get a room for cheap "40 coin a night that's a bit steep for a tavern in the woods don't you think" she said knowing she only had 20 coins to her name. The innkeeper looked annoyed by her comment "if you don't like the price then leave" before Elizabeth could say anything else Tiberius walked over "is there anything we can do to make that a bit cheaper?" he spoke in a commanding tone the innkeeper looked Tiberius up and down. "I think we can make a diel of sorts you see there is a small band of goblins camping up a ways it's really hampering business if you can drive them off I'll give you a room and a free meal" Tiberius contemplated this for a moment "I don't have a weapon to my name?" asked Tiberius. the innkeeper grinned then pulled a steel two-handed mace out on the counter "its too big to sell and way too heavy to keep" the tavern went quiet after the mace slammed on the counter. Tiberius eyed it a moment till someone in the crowd said "I bet you can't even lift it" with a smile he hefted the mace with little effort "this will do nicely" Tiberius gave it a swift swing the wind alone knocking people and tables over alike. Elizabeth chuckled then spoke up to say "honestly this will be child's play." Tiberius shook his head and left to take on the goblins. On the way, Elizabeth asked why Tiberius looked so confident he smiled and said "back home me and my friend would make a game out of killing these little green shits I always had the high score." Alex was following along humping a very peaceful tune her voice was enchanting. The group fell silent until they made it to an abandoned church where the goblins were held up. Elizabeth stopped and Alex did as well even the sweet melody ended. It was sunset now and the goblins would be waking up soon. "This isn't going to be easy if you can't fight stay out here, if you can watch your back at all times they are sneaky bastards in the dark" Tiberius said softly. Almost as soon as they came close to the entrance they knew there is an ogre manly by the smell goblins hunt by ambush so they are rather clean around camp but ogres are messy and like living surrounded by the rotting corpse of their victims. "It would seem that there is a rather grumpy chef around" Smiled Alex and with an innocent giggle, she asked if she can eat the oger? Elizabeth's eyes widen as a group of 3 humans stepped from the doorway than claps from the wounds on their body's long deep cuts criss cross their backs and large black and purple impact marks everywhere else. Tibueris snatched them up and almost throw them behind him as a club the size of a tree came down in front of him missing by inches. calmly almost as if he does this every day he asked "would you like to hear the word of the gods?" and from the shadows of the church came a 7ft tall green-skinned mountain followed by 5 night goblins the ogre laughed and told Tiberius looking him in his eyes "the only god here is me and my word is death!" As he brought the club down once more but this time Tiberius slammed the mace into it the club sending wood shrapnel everywhere. Then in one swift motion kicked the ogre's knee and with a loud CRACK the oger fell screaming "MY BLOODY KNEE!" Tiberius walked over and chuckled "so you are a god? Then what does that make me?" with hate in the ogre's eyes it simply said "a demon!" and with that Tiberius raised his mace above his head stopping a moment to admire it in the moonlight each of its 8 black steel blades shining making the gold inlays seem to dance. Then with the force of 20 men he brought the mace down on the ogre's head sending gore flying everywhere as Tiberius stepped away from the small crater made by the impact still dripping with the blood of the oger he asked Alex if she still wanted to eat him? Alex then stepped out from behind a tree clean as when they found her in the road which wasn't very clean to start with. With a chipper smile, and giggle she walked over and began to sprint passed the ogre and into the church only saying "I want living flesh!" Elizabeth now covered from head to toe in blood asked if she can wait outside to warren anyone that may be coming down the road. Tiberius agreed to let her stay but he knew that once he went inside she would go to the nearby stream and try to clean up a little. So they parted Tiberius blushing and Elizabeth grumpy on the other had Alex had been having fun in the catacombs under the church. By the time Tiberius made it there, he'd found a torch and in its light goblins lay dead everywhere. Some were ripped to shreds. Others had massive chunks taken out of them and from deep in the catacombs was the sweet familiar melody. Tiberius followed the sounds passing the dead night goblins often till he came to the main chamber where the last of the goblins made their stand only 3 warriors and 2 hunters and standing just opposite was Alex humming her song with the head of a dire wolf in her right hand. "Well it would seem that you had this covered Alex. "spoke Tiberius in a slightly shocked state. Alex simply turned and smiled which showed off the blood on her face and teeth in the torchlight. After a moment Tiberius hefted the mace and began to walk over to the gobs "it's time to go, Alex I'm sleepy" spoke Tiberius as he walked over to a support pillar and with a single swift move he smashed it. -BOOM-
As everything starts to crumble around them Alex turns and gracefully makes her way to the door Tiberius was standing in the door, before leaving he turned to look at the gobs and told them "bye"
Upon leaving the church Tiberius look up at the pel cracked moon set against the starry sky and for a brief moment, he was happy. Elizabeth called out to Tiberius as she ran over and as expected she was clean as a whistle. As they meet to Tiberius was taken off guard by Elizabeth embracing him "I was afraid you'd leave me behind" Tiberius felt anger rise from deep within him at the thought that Elizabeth was hurt this much. He may not particularly like her but he still owes her for bringing him back. He looked down at her and said "I will never leave you, your special to me" after Tiberius said this Elizabeth turn red and hide her face in Tiberius's chest. They stood there for a while till Alex spook up "As much as I enjoy the night I would prefer a roof over my head" then Elizabeth jerked away stammering "I-- I agree" Tiberius chuckled "then we should head back asap" the trek back was boring and uneventful. Once they saw the tavern 4 men jumped out from the sides of the road wielding short swords in leather armor "give us the women and everything of value and you keep your life" the one closest to Tiberius cackled but this proved to be his biggest mistake for at the end of that phrase a large black wight dropped onto his head splitting it in two. The rest jumped back in shock Tiberius merely said "boys do we really need to do this now? It's late and I'm in no mood..." Suddenly the rest of the man lunged at Tiberius. Boom Tiberius swung and took the shortest ones head off than with a mighty kick the other sending him flying over and smashed into an oak tree with a loud crunch. he last ran his blade through Tiberius's gut. upon seeing that Tiberius was unfazed the bandit stumbled back begging "please my lord forgive me!" Tiberius kneeled next to him looking in the man's eyes Elizabeth and alex one step behind him on his left and right Tiberius chuckles and spoke in a soft voice "if sit there and fear the devil the devil will always win." then Tiberius grabbed the man's neck lifting him the man still begging is thrown to the ground "what--nope!" Elizabeth with cheer in her voice "there for a second I thought you'd kill him for suer" Tiberius stood there watching the man run "killing him wouldn't have benefit us. Alex, clean this mess up would you?" as fast as lighting she began to consume the flesh Tiberius heard the flesh and muscles tear from bone a thought came to him what if he made an army of undead to kill the prince… then he turned his head to the tavern "how much coin do you think a tavern run by undead would make?" Tiberius asked elizabeth "what are you planning?" she asked in return Tiberius looked to one of the skeletons "Oh elizabeth how many can you raies in an hour?" shocked Elizabeth thought of a minet "well 2 out of the 3 we have here...why" looking to the tavern Tiberius spoke with hints of regret "we need a place to stage a rebellion were better than from a tavern." alex spoke up then i'll leave the flesh on this one he'll lead owner armies as far as the king needs to know" after one hour when the moon was at its highest one zombie and 2 skeletons burst into the tavern the zombie lunged through the door catching a guard by surprise followed by 2 skeleton brandishing short swords and leather armor. One went to the bar calmly showed 2 fingers to indicate 2 beers. In fear the bartender poured them then the skeleton shoved the sword into the tenders neck. The other as soon as it enters swings killing a man sat at a table near the door. Tiberius,Alex and Elizabeth waited outside to mop up any who tried to flee it took will sun rise elizabeth fell asleep against a tree and alex wandered off so Tiberius walked in to see what happened by his surprise there were 5 more zombies and he could see their level of all the undead, the skeletons were now lv.3 the first zombie was lv.4 with a tank class everywhere lay blood and bodies. Tiberius then told the undead to get to work and one by one they started to clean. As Tiberius began up the steps the sounds of banging was heard after closer inspection it was 2 undead banging on a door to one of the rooms after. knocking on the door a young voice came from the other side "LOOK OUT! There's undead out there" Tiberius spook loud and full of pity, pride, and strength all the same "there's no need to fear them my boy there my pets meant to aid me." a muffled cry could be heard from the door Tiberius continues "boy come on out there is work to be done and my undead need a leater what do you say?" the boy stops crying then the thick oak door opens a crack to reveal the pail skin and a crystal blue eye "what do u mean are you offering me to join you?!?" Tiberius stood there stoic "only if you want if not i'll just feed you to my pets." the boy opened the door fully "ok.. F--fine i'll join you my name is Flaveus and i'm a novice flame mage after the prince destroyed the college i've been a wonder" a huge grin came to Tiberius' face when he heard this he exclaimed "perfect in my name i make you my lore keeper for now you'll control this tavern and the undead in it will be the staff, and if u get the chance here," Tiberius hands the boy a paper. Once he looked at it for a moment he realized what he had was a spell of create undead. Flaveus says to Tiberius "what exactly is the end goal here..." before Tiberius could speak alex began "masters GOAL is the down fall of the crown princes and peace between the living" with a slight nod yes Tiberius agrees with alex. Flaveus then asks if he should still give jobs to adventures? Tiberius stopped At this odd question "it's up to you as long as you make money i don't care." suddenly from outside elizabeth screams out in pain Tiberius rushes out with the rest in tow just to find a man in plate-armor with his sword to her throat as he cackled "as a paladin of hope i cant let a dark one live so here is what i'll do...kill you so your sins wont take your soul." With a growl Tiberius picks up a zombie and chucks it at the man as the undead hits him, he uses his large shield to cushion the blow only making him stagger back a few steps but that was enough for Elizabeth to flee "who the hell are you damn future corps" screeched Tiberius and the man smiles "i'm the blade of hope, the keeper of good, and slayer of evil. a bandit told me of a monster that killed his friends so i came to have a look and what do i find but necromancers. Repent now or burn in hell." Tiberius puts his fists up with a rage in his eyes as a sickly mist flows up from his eyes then the undead burst from the tavern stopping next to him the level 5 skellington handed Tiberius the mace as soon as he took the weapon the sickly green began to flow forth from the head of the mace. The paladin raises his blade up as a bolt of lighting struck Tiberius but as if nothing happened he lunged forward hefted his weapon then the paladon blocks with its shield but the force of the blow buckled his knees Tiberius delivered crushing blow after crushing blow till finally the shield gives way to a nearly defeated man. "How how did this happen im chosen by god i..i can't lose!" he springs up blade ready but it was too late Tiberius' hand gripped his skull "ask your god why he let you lose it's probably cuz your weak then Tiberius squeeze the paladins head crushing it in hand. flavus topples over throwing up, Elizabeth turns her head, and alex licks her lips. Tiberius walked over to the highest level undead and proclaimed "you are my herald, those who fight lost and alone stand with them. give mercy to the wake and crush the arrogant and above all else consum the corruption of this land." and with that the undead rored an unholy screech of triumph. Tiberius set off to pursue the crowned prince taking 4 of the more intact undead. Flavus stayed with the rest and set to work running a tavern with his new undead servants and studying the page he was given in the cellar unknowingly drawing the attention of a powerful necromancer. A Week after Tiberius left the tavern was booming the local villagers began to come and post jobs on the taverns notice board dude to the out of work people taking on any jobs needed from plowing a field to slaying demons they would do anything if payed the right price the age of advenchers was dawning in flavus tavern. Tho it did not go unseen the influx of rogue undead. so flavus put up a job it was simple enough find and kill the evil necromancer
The reward would be a title the only one he could give champion of death a title given to those who face lesser vampires get from towns. Then flavus sent his now level 10 skeleton as an escort for anyone who takes the job
