Chapter 2 - Meeting the male lead(Pt.1)

A

Woo-hoo! It's been ages since I landed in this crazy world. And guess what? I can talk like a pro now. Everyone in the mansion is absolutely smitten by my overwhelming cuteness. Can't blame them, can you?

Fast forward four years...

Today, my fabulous mom and dad got invited to a tea party hosted by none other than the king and queen. Which means I'll be meeting the prince today. Oh boy, I couldn't sleep a wink last night...Not, I slept just fine.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, Lori, my lovely maid, barges into the room with a huge grin on her face.

Lori: Rise and shine, my lady! You've got to get ready. We're off to visit the king and queen!

(Deep down, I wish I could skip this whole thing, but alas, duty calls. Gotta be a good girl for my parents' sake.)

Me: Good morning, Lori. (I yawned while rubbing my eyes, still half-asleep.)

Lori's Thoughts: Oh my gosh, could my miss be any cuter? I swear, I'll find the prettiest dress in the entire universe for her. She's gotta outshine those spoiled ladies at the Queen's tea party!

Back to Allia's Thoughts...

Me: What's up, Lori? (I noticed her face turn red before darkening suddenly.)

Lori: My lady, don't worry about me. It's you who needs all the attention. We've got a million things to do to get you ready for the Queen's tea party! (Her eyes were practically sparkling with excitement.)

You've got to be kidding me! My face must've shown pure disbelief, but Lori paid no mind as she dragged me into the bathroom, locking me in for the next three hours. Talk about torture!

After enduring all that torture, it didn't stop there. Nope, I had to try on a gazillion dresses while Lori acted like a fashion critic.

Finally, after much fighting and compromising, we settled on a simple yet elegant dress. And makeup? Nah, who needs that at four years old? Only crazy people, that's who.

So, there I was, all dressed up and ready to go. We joined my parents in a room, and oh my stars, they were drop-dead gorgeous! I mean, seriously, what the heck?

Dad was a total heartthrob with his silver hair slicked to the side. He sat in an armchair, rocking a dark blue suit. Blue eyes gazed at Mom, who was sipping tea in an ice crystal cup. (Wait, Mom, you're drinking tea now? What's gonna happen at the actual tea party?)

But let me tell you, Mom was an absolute goddess. She wore a light blue dress adorned with tiny crystals, making her look even more elegant. Her hair, matching the color of the dress, cascaded in wavy locks. And those rosy red lips and subtle makeup? Flawless.

Oh, and did I mention that Mom had rare ice magic, while Dad possessed ice and fire magic? Dad was considered a genius among geniuses for his mastery over two types of magic. Yeah, my parents were kind of a big deal. And guess what? I'm their adorable daughter! Woohoo!

When they spotted me entering the room, they dropped everything and rushed toward me.

Mom: Lia, my darling, look at you. You're absolutely stunning!

Me: Mommy, you look even prettier than me!

Dad: Lia...

Me: Oh yes, Daddy, you're both pretty and handsome. You're the coolest dad ever! (I wanted to add "hottest," but I'm a kid, you know? Plus, he's my dad, so it's kinda weird.)

Dad: Don't worry, Lia. Daddy will protect you. (No guy is getting close to my cute daughter. Not on my watch!)

Me: Protect me? (From what?)

Mom: Don't worry, my dear, I'll help.

Mom says smiling with me trapped in her arms.

Dad: As always, Janette, I can always count on you.

Me: Okay... (Geez, they're beautiful, strong, and ridiculously overprotective. They never let me leave the mansion, not even once. But hey, at least I have my books. Although they don't offer much new info except for magic and antiques. My tutors were mind-blown by my genius mind, bragging about me everywhere. Little did they know that my 24 years of studying in my past life helped me ace those lessons. Ah well, there goes my plan to be ordinary. But my parents seem happy, so who cares? Oh, and by the way, I'm secretly amazing at singing and playing instruments. But shhh, it's our little secret for now.)

And with that, we made our way outside to the carriage. Our butler was waiting next to the open carriage door, ready to assist us. I hopped in first, followed by Mom and Dad.

After what felt like an eternity in that carriage, we finally arrived at our destination.

To be continued...
