"Can you believe how lucky we are, woman?" Asked Amy to her best friend, who was already gripping tightly on the bars.
"Y-yeah... w-we are." Answered Opal while stammering, her heart was already beating rapidly even though the Hungry Coaster was just beginning to get filled with passengers.
"Don't worry about falling though, I'll just fly my way to catch you! Hehe~" Amy jokingly stated giving Opal a thumbs-up straight to her face, which unfortunately did not help in lessening the girl's anxiousness.
Opal could only release a chuckle before remarking, "you and your fictitious imagination."
And before could response to her best friend, the announcer finally began doing a count down. " The Hungry Coaster would be zooming in five, four, three, two, one, zooommmm!"
The roller coaster zoomed and swirled, spiraling in hoops and loops at the speed of 90 kilometres per hour and the ride lasted for three minutes at max. Between the girls, it was only Amethyst who seems to love the quick billowing of wind pass her face, raising her arms up above her head while screaming at the top of her lungs - not because of fear, but out of excitement.
"OH MY FREAKING GODS! I STILL LOVE MY LIFE!" Opal yelled, screaming the hell out of her lungs.
"Oh yeahhhhhh!" Amethyst gleefully shrieked while clapping.
In one moment the roller coaster was speeding down the track, the second it was slowing down while going up three small hills or what others call bumps, before turning tightly left and right. It was undeniably an exhilarating and suspenseful ride.
"My good Lord in the Heavenssss, my Mama Mia Saint Monica!" Babbled Opal with her eyes tightly shut.
"Opal..." Says Amethyst, tapping her best friend's shoulder, nonetheless Opal still continued reciting prayers. "Opal, look at me."
"WHAT? I DON'T WANNA DIE!" Snapped Opal opening her eyes, only to realize that the ride was finally over.
"Hah! I can't believe this, you have such a weak stomach Opal." Teased Amy.
Ten minutes have passed after the extreme roller coaster ride and Opal could not help but to barf out what she ate for lunch due to the intense stomach pain--of course this was purely out of exaggeration, but Opal indeed did vomit and felt nausea.
"Thank Gods." Exhaled Opal, while wiping the sweat that formulated on her forehead with a small white handkerchief embroidered with a silver thread forming a quill.
Amethyst was smilingly looking around the amusement park, both hands on her waist, she was so ready for more thrilling rides. That was, until she saw the beautiful feather embroidery on Opal's handkerchief, her violet-hued orbs slightly dilating when she was reminded of her fall from the Heavenian Realm.
"Alright! I'll choose this time!" It was Opal's exasperated voice that snapped Amethyst from her trance, her lips curving into a cheeky smile as she points the luminous and colorful observation wheel or what was commonly known as the Ferris Wheel. "That! We're going to ride that!"
"Oh my goodness!" Shouted someone from the crowd, causing Opal and Amethyst to turn their head to where the voice came from.
"Heavens, what is going on up there?!" Came another worried voice from the horde of people, who soon began flocking around the Ferris Wheel, a lot of them pulling out and holding up their smart phones in order to film the disturbing event happening on top of the amusement ride.
"Mama! It looks like it's fun to jump from here!" Giggled a little boy, standing from his seat and begins to walk his way to the open window of the cart.
"Sammy, sit back here! It's dangerous." The anxious mother exclaimed, while pulling her son away from the window, and trying to keep him in place.
But the older woman's action was futile, the boy appeared to be stronger compared to his size and he was able to easily pushed away his mother, causing the cart to sway and spin around 360 degrees. This phenomenon gained a series of gasps and anxious screams from below.
"Opal....." Amy worriedly mumbled under her breath, hugging and grabbing her best friend's left arm. "He might fall..." She added, this time slightly tugging Opal's shirt.
Opal's eyes furrowed because of uneasiness, gulping once while repeatedly chanting Hail Mary in her head, "Let's...let's all calm down. Uhh...tell the people to turn the Ferris Wheel on!" She told a man filming the scenario.
"That's impossible, the crew managing that ride was already having problems fixing it. They already told the rescuers down below that everything was completely fine even now." He spatted before continuing to film.
Deep inside, Amethyst was already having a crisis whether to wait for the rescuers to solve the problem or to spouted some kind of ridiculous lie to Opal, just to get away from the crowd and perhaps prepare her wings if by chance the child falls from above.
The cranking of the cart was surprisingly loud enough for the audience down below to hear and react to it either by a scream or a series of gasps.
"I'm gonna jump now! I'm so excited!" Shouted the young boy.
"Come on... come on... anyone do something." Amethyst whispered, her hands were trembling now and she found herself clasping both eager to beg the angels and the Queen to spare the poor boy.
"HE'S ABOUT TO FALL!"
"SOMEBODY HELP HIM!"
"WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE RESCUE TEAM!"
Were just a few statements from the crowd, the tension was so heavy, and the pressure was overwhelming Amethyst felt like she was getting sandwiched in between two boulders, it was as if these rocks were continuously crushing her totality, too much that she suddenly fell down on her knees, hyperventilating.
"Amy!" Exclaimed Opal, who was quick enough to catch Amethyst before having her knees reach the ground, fanning her using the amusement park's cardboard brochure.
"Somebody help us!" Screamed Opal.
