As soon as the city lord arrived, they noticed him and surrounded him. The city lord understood that his city has been sacked and his space gate would have been destroyed.
He genuinely wished that his daughter might have gotten stuck in the grand elder's place. He would be relieved as long as he could confirm that the water creatures came here after his daughter went to the grand elder's place.
But he has no way to confirm what happened.
