Present time,
Seeing the surprise and shocked look on Rose's face, Jack came to his senses as he retreated to get down from the divider.
But, due to the high amounts of alcohol in him, he was unable to slide down as his movements were highly uncoordinated.
Seeing this, Roy felt a need to smack his friend.
Sighing to himself, he moved towards Jack as he tried to help him by pulling on his legs.
After successfully getting down, Jack drove towards Rose as he held her hand and told her.
''I won't be fine if you leave me, Rose, I love you...I need you in my life, please!''
Hearing the love of her life say this to her, Rose also started crying as she said,
''I also love you Jack-Jack, but...but I can't be with you....it's impossible between us.''
Finishing this, more tears filled her eyes as she tried to shake off Jack's grasp on her hands.
Feeling her trying to shake him off, Jack made his hold even stronger as he said,
''No Rose...please don't do this okay? Please don't...I promise that I will not interfere with Damon and Ivy's matter okay? I promise, I really do. I won't do anything and I will also stop my family from interfering.''
As soon as Jack finished saying this, Rose started crying, even more, harder as she said,
''But I can't...I can't promise you that I won't get involved! I can't promise you that my mom or my grandpa won't get involved! I can't...I can't promise you this.''
"It doesn't matter.''
Jack said with resolution.
"My promise is enough, Rose...I promised you that I will not get involved, and I swear to god that I won't do anything to break my promise to you.''
''No.''
Rose said,
''Right now you may think that it would be alright, that you would be able to handle it, but, as time passes you will grow to resent yourself for not being able to help your friend...resent me and resent our relationship and...and I can't, I just can't and won't be able to handle that Jack-Jack.''
Rose told Jack as she tried to smile between her tears, seizing his hand once again, she gave it a shake and was able to successfully remove his hold this time around.
''That is why I think that it is for the best if we end our relationship right now, Jack-Jack.''
She continued while still trying her best to smile, to send off her love with a smile on her face.
''I want to have good memories of my relationship with you Jack, so let's just end it here, when the two of us don't hate each other, when the two of us are not repulsed on hearing the mere mention of each other's names...When we still have some fond memories to look back on...on a good note...please.''
She told Jack before taking a deep breath in order to muster up all her strength for what she was going to say next.
"Let's just end our relationship, Jack, please...so that maybe in the future we may be civil to each other if we meet again. That is why, I would like to break up with you, Jack.''
