Inside of the apartment building that Astrea had located a possible fellow "demon..."
What she found inside of the building wasn't a demon but just demonic aura residue from a demon that came from a demon that used to live at that apartment building a few months prior to Astrea arriving in the human realm.
Whoosh!
Not again...
Now aware that an angel was nearby whenever she heard a sudden gust of wind, she quickly makes her escape via the emergency stairs of the building where she found herself being found by an angel the moment she opened the door that lead to the lobby of the said apartment building.
Was this a trap all along..?
Astrea questioned her own judgement as knocked out the said angel which was blocking her only escape route- the entrance of the building.
A small group of angels were standing right in front of the said entrance, seemingly awaiting for her to go through the said doors.
All of them firing arrows of light at her when she opened the doors.
"Ok, that's it... I've had enough of this..."
The said arrows didn't do any harm as she dodged all of them rather quickly.
She casted a spell that enveloped the surroundings, acting like a smoke screen then she began her counter attack against them.
"So slow... Is that all you can do? Now it's my turn!"
A magic circle quickly appeared under the feet of the said angels who were using human beings as vessels due to them being celestials which are beings that don't have a physical form that they could use on the human realm.
Vooooosh!
A huge flame engulfed the whole group of those same angels who were just a second ago recognizable to now just a mere pile of ash.
These fools just never learn...
She slowly walked away from the scene, quickly posesses a twenty one year old human girl that she soon found at a convenience store a few blocks away.
The girl's senses, memories, and body were now at her disposal.
"Bingo... This will do nicely..."
She muttered, walking out of the convenience store and try to get to her "vessel's" house and plan out how she was gonna go about her business without attracting any "unwanted attention" towards herself as she does so.
Now at her destination, she sneaks in to the said house towards the girl's bedroom.
These angels seem to show up whenever I use my abilities, If I stop some of my aura coming out then I should be able to stop them from sensing me...
She started her experiments the following evening, Astrea who previously acquired her first earthly vessel tried using less aura this time as attempted to cause her usual "chaos" that she needed to retain her abilities.
A few seconds passed...
No angels appeared.
A few minutes passed...
No angels appeared.
An hour passes...
A small group of vessel-using angels appeared.
Looks like I can only do it for an hour before they start to--
The group interrupt her thinking, shooting their usual at her.
She didn't say a single word to the group of enemies in front of her which their attack did not do anything like before.
"Prepare to die..." Astrea announced, silently casting a spell against her group of her foes.
[DEADLY STRIKES]
Instantaneously, the vessels of her opponents were destroyed upon the activation of the magic circle that appeared in front of her.
Ok, I get the idea now... Only problem now is I won't get as much negative energy if I do it like this...
"How is that demon able to get so powerful with only just that small amount negative energy? This makes no sense!"
Somewhere in heaven, Archangel Michael questions the power of Astrea as a meeting about what had just happened to his forces when he commanded them to attack the said white-haired female demon.
The other angels who serve under him were utterly confused as well, not knowing what to answer him with.
When suddenly the door of the said conference room opened with a loud creak, on the other side of the door was the angel of deal: Azrael, with a grin across his face he spoke up: "She's merely tricking you, brother."
All the angels began to whisper to one another as they heard the sudden proclaimation.
"What?" The archangel was perplexed upon hearing that sudden proclaimation from the angel of death herself.
"Oh? Don't tell me you don't get what I had just said?" Azrael snickered, seemingly amused at how the archangel hadn't understood the answer to his own previous question.
"No, no... I understood what you had just said. It's just that, how did she "trick" me exactly?"
"I've been watching your forces the whole time while they were fighting against that demon, and I've noticed something about the way she uses her abilities." A wide grin appeared across her face. "I could see that she was chanting a illusion spell before she even begins to brandish her sword."
"I have a feeling that you're merely just messing with my, Sister." Michael was quite doubtful, considering that if Astrea did cast the said spell then he would've heard about it from his subordinates.
"If she did cast it then we should've noticed her murmuring the chant." one of the angels in the room whispered to another.
"Yeah, I agree." The other whispered in reply, being careful not to get caught by Michael whispering during the ongoing meeting.
"But that's where you're gonna be surprised..." After a short sigh, Azrael began her explaination about the matter.
"It's possile that she was chanting it so fast that it'd look like she wasn't chanting at all- with her mouth actually appearing to not actually be in motion or she had it pre-chanted in case of an attack or ambush and she just had it on-hold until it was time to release it."
"I see... Nice observation, Azrael."
The angel of death left the room after she had made sure that Michael got her point, and with that the rest of the meeting consisted of Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael planning a strategy for the next attack on the demon general named: Astrea.
