Ariel was busy with five classed on Thursday and two on friday. Marcus was going to pick her up at noon when she was through.
After she showered and changed into shorts and a tshirt she headed out to find Marcus leaning on a black Mercedes.
"Ready?" He smiled.
She went weak at the site of him and just shook her head yes.
He opened the back door and she slid in. Then he walked around and got in the back at the drives side.
"I did not think you would have your driver with you today." She smiled.
"It is best today. I don't like leaving my car at the airport."
"Airport?"
"We are flying to Georgeville's annual committee fundraiser dinner and auction. It's better to fly then drive. Are you ok with this?"
"Georgeville? I guess it's ok. I've never been on a plane before." She said.
"You'll like it. I have your things all packed. When we get to the hotel you have a nail and hair appointment at the spa. The dinner starts at 6 and the auction at 8. I have booked a suite so you will have your own room to sleep in."
"We're staying the night. The fundraiser won't get over till 11 so it would be best. We then could do some site seeing the next day before flying home." He smiles and took her hand.
She smiled back. She could not say no to those puppy dog eyes of his.
They drove with him still holding her hand onto a privet airfield.
"What do you think?"
She looked at the small black plane. Her eyes went wide. "We're taking this?"
"Yes"
He got out and walked around to her side and opened the door. She got out and she watched as his driver pulled out two suitcases and two garment bags and carried them to the plane.
"Should you help him?"
"He's got it. It's his job. We are waiting on the pilot and his date."
Ariel looked puzzled. Then a car pulled up and a tall strong man came out. He was almost as handsome as Marcus. A driver then got out and a tall blonde. She looked like a movie star. She even wore a fancy dress. Ariel then took a look at what she had on and felt a little awkward.
The drive pulled out cases and bags and walked them to the plane too.
"Ariel this is my friend and partner George Henderson aka Heny and his date?"
"Jennifer Jones." Heny said.
"It's nice to meet you." Ariel went to shake hands but Jennifer just looked her up and down and shook her head.
Ariel lowered her hand. Then looked at George. "It nice to put a face with the voice."
He held out his hand so she did to and he kissed the back of it. "I am also glad to finally meet you. Shall we get going?"
"Is the pilot here?" Ariel asked.
"Yes, I am here and ready to go. Have you ever been on a privet plane before?" Heny said.
"I've never flown before."
"Then you are in for a treat let get on board."
Marcus took her hand and lead her up a small stair case and into the side of the plane. It looked more like an office waiting area. He had her sit in a leather chair that was very comfortable and helped her buckle in. He took the one right next to her and took her hand.
Jennifer took one a little further away and buckled in as Heny went into a little room. Engine sounds started and then Heny's voice could be heard.
"Hope everyone is ready. This flight will last two hours. We shall arrive in Georgeville at 3pm."
The plane started to move. Ariel tightened the grip on Marcus's hand and he just smiled at her.
She felt her tummy leave her body as they rose in the air and when they leveled out she felt the relief.
"You may now unbuckle and move about the cabin. Richie please pass out the lunch boxes."
Marcus got up and headed to a small galley and took out four bento boxes. He hand one to Jennifer who looked like she was looking at something disgusting. Then he handed Ariel one.
"Thank you. Are you giving George one too?"
"Yes, He can eat and drive at the same time." He smiled.
"After we eat can I see the cockpit?" She said.
"Yes, I think you will like it." He left with just one box leaving the other in his seat and soon he was back.
Inside the box was rice balls, sweet and sour pork, and steamed buns filled with pork. Ariel ate very carefully she did not know how to use chopsticks very well. However she noticed Marcus and Jennifer used them like a pro.
After lunch Marcus took her into the cockpit. She sat down in the co pilots seat.
"What do you think do far?"
"It a little over whelming."
"Would you like to try and fly?"He asked.
"Can I?" She smiled.
"See that stick in front of you, put your hands on it and hold it steady." She did as he told her then he flipped a switch and she felt a pull.
"Your doing great. Now pull back slowly."
She did and the plane started to go up.
"Now gently push forward."
She did and the plane headed down.
"Now try to get us to 2400 feet by doing just as I told you. Look at this gauge here.
She pulled up a little and over shot the mark a little so she went down. Soon she had the gauge at 2400.
"You are a natural. Keep us steady till I get back from the boys room."
"Wait what if something goes wrong?"
"It won't trust me. You are doing fine." He then walked out the door. She kept looking at the gauges and out at the sky. She was flying a plane. It wasn't long before he was back.
"See I told you, you can do this. I thank you for giving him a chance. All he can talk about is you."
"Thank you for sitting up the picnic the other day. The food was delicious."
"Your welcome. I hear you are a part time Mermaid."
"Yes, I do birthday party and fundraiser. I love to swim."
