After visiting her friend she headed back home to report to Bob King.
He was thrilled at what she had to report.
Harper came over to him, "Brother, I have sent her over. She will be ready for viewing in a few days. They will let us know. Let me get you home."
He hated to see his friend like this but it was necessary to keep his girl safe. He just hoped that when this is all over he doesn't hate them all.
When they got back he took Marcus up to Ariel's room and made him get in the shower. He then made him lay down and take something for sleep.
Harrison tried many times to call Marcus with no luck. He was worried about his brother and was tired of hearing his dad talk bad about him.
"I think we should pull all the projects that was worked on by that bastard and make sure they have not fallen apart. You should have never let him in charge of anything."
"Stop it dad." Harrison said pinching the bridge of his nose.
"What? Stop what? Do you not feel well son?"
"Dad, why? Why am I your son and Marcus is not. Why do you really hate him so much?" He yelled at his father.
"I'm not sure. I have hated him since the day your mother said she was pregnant. Maybe because she tricked me by waiting till she was 6 months so I could not force and abortion like the last time she told me she was pregnant. I only need one heir."
"You mean I had another sibling and you made mom get rid of it?" Harrison was beside himself. He never thought his father could be that cruel.
"I only needed you. I did it for your future Son." He said.
"Did you hurt Marcus growing up?"
"Why would I. Who told you that? If it was that bastard he is lying."
"He was always hurt. He was also scared of nothing but you. Why would you hurt him dad. Why?"
"I'm not talking about this. He deserves no kindness. He is nothing and will always be nothing." He then walked out the door.
That bastard was told never to tell anything about what happened to him growing up. He would kill him for this.
Harrison called JJ. "Can you look into everything my father did to Marcus?"
"Already on it. Can you meet me at Tubby's house later. I'll show you what we got so far."
"Thank you commander, I'll be there. How is he right now?"
"Hiny, gave him something to make him sleep. We will talk more when I see you." He then hung up.
"I think we should tell Harrison what we are doing. I feel we may need his help to catch King." JJ said.
"You may be right. What do you want me to do?" Cynthia asked.
"That's the thing, I am unsure right now." He then flipped through the reports that were just given to him.
"We also need to take down this bastard too. He really tired to mess Richie up. This man does not need to be free." JJ slammed the papers down.
Doctor Kim and Hiny were watching the sleeping Ariel. She was now breathing with out any help.
"When will you wake her up?"
"In a few more days. She needs to heal more first."
"Thanks teacher for doing this." Hiny said.
"Thanks for thinking of me. I am getting to old for all this but I am always glad to help out a friend. Once she wakes up, I'll head back home." He then walked out.
"Mermaid, You are one blessed person. Sorry Marcus could not stay with you. We needed him to play a part to keep you safe. I hope you both will understand."
Ariel listened to his words but could not respond. What was he talking about. She tried hard to wake herself up with no luck.
She wanted to find out what was going on. Where was the nothingness? She was neither here or there.
She felt a nurse come in and touch her. "Looking good today. BP normal. Temp a little high 38 degree celcius that is about 100 degrees farenheit. Your next antibiotic bag will be soon. See you in a little while."
Marcus woke up and opened the bottle Sarah had given him. He sat on the balcony drinking. He watched as his brother's car pulled up next door. Why was Harry going over to Tubby's place. Then he watched as Harper walk over. They were having a meeting with out him.
He got dressed and headed over.
"I know he is hurting but it's for his own good." JJ said.
"You are killing him not telling him about this." Harrison said.
"I know, and it kills me to do this to him but we need to keep her safe first. King sent someone to take a look a him already. They took video and I believe the a woman was also working for King. If he knew she was alive then he would want to be by her side and then King would know." JJ said.
Ariel was alive. Marcus wondered if he heard right. She was alive.
"Ok, did you get your daughter some place safe?" Harper asked.
"Yes, she is on my mother's yacht in the middle of the ocean. We took her aboard in a case so no one would see. I reported to the school that she would be out a few days because of a death in the family. The only people who know are my mother, Lily's bodyguard, and now you guys. I did not even tell my dad."
"Good. This is the guy we spotted. He bribed a man to look at the body and then we watched as he recorded Richie sitting in the hall. His name is Peter Johnson. One of King's men that flew here with him." JJ handed the photo to Harrison.
"This is the woman that met your brother. Her name is.."
"Sarah Taylor" Harrison said looking at the photo.
