We have literally been walking around several shops now for more than an hour and I finally managed to convince Melody to leave so we can take a break.
Let's be honest, the hard part is that everything looks good on Melody and she can't possibly buy everything.
Well that's what you'd think, but she was legit at the counter directing a sales person to buy everything she had just tried on.
After Melody swiped her card and gave them the address of where to send it to she looped her arm with Serenitys, and happily skipped out of the shop.
Just when Serenity was getting excited thinking about where to go for lunch, as they were walking, Melody randomly pulled her in another direction, nearly running into the store.
Melody picked up a gorgeous white dress that she thought would look amazing on Serenity.
She picked it up off the rack, and saw that it was the last one but it must have been fate cause it just so happened to be Serenitys size.
She held it up to Serenity and put her finger on her chin as if she was seriously contemplating something and then nodded, "Very good, I indeed of keen eyesight it comes to my Goddess RenRen."
Serenity couldn't help but smile at her friends nonsense, "Okay, okay you have good taste, let's buy it and can we please go eat now beauty Mel?"
Serenity did quite like the dress, she wasn't too fond of bright colors and preferred neutral so it fit perfectly and seeing as her friend chose this for her, she chose to silently forgive her for delaying food again.
"Is food really more important...wait, wait don't answer that. A foodie like you would not understand the joy of a fated dress!" Melody said jokingly, but Serenity actually nodded seriously in agreement.
Melody face palmed as she called over the sales person to help them check out.
She didn't expect that when she went to hand the dress over, some poor mannered woman came and snatched it out of her hands.
"Wow this dress is so good." Mina, the dress snatching woman, exclaimed to the two tails she had brought along for her shopping extravaganza.
Melody scoffed, "Yes, it's very good and that's why I was giving it to the sales lady to pay for it." She said as she grabbed the dress back from unsuspecting woman.
Mina glanced at the two girls in front of her and although momentarily stunned by their looks, she laughed as she thought, 'They may be good looking, but can they even compare to me in status.'
She hadn't seen Melody or Serenity before as Serenity was more of an introvert and Melody was frequently out of the country for modeling gigs, so she immediately regarded them as minor characters.
She put on her best innocent smile and said, "Excuse me miss, I think your confused, I want this dress so it will be mine." She turned to the sales person who was quite familiar with her and told her and handed over her form of payment, "I'll take that dress now."
The sales lady felt a little flustered by the situation she was in, but still proceeded to follow Mina's order as she could not afford to offend her family.
Serenity raised a brow at this and crossed her arms, checking her nails, trying to just be invisible since she knew Melody wasn't one to back down.
"I was here long before you and already said I was buying it, did your parents ever teach you any manners, or are you just naturally an ill-mannered pig." Melody said in a voice that was neither loud or quiet and could send chills down ones spine.
Mina shivered, but continued to stand her ground angrily, "Do you even know who I am? You definitely don't want to offend me, if you kneel and apologize for criticizing my parents, I may just let you off." She stated loudly drawing in the attention of passer bys.
"Do I need to know who an insignificant person is? Not even my parents would dare ask me to kneel for them, so you are quite brave trying to command me." Melody laughed not even embarrassed that her family wouldn't ask her to kneel because she was the little apple in their eyes and couldn't fathom hurting her, much less having her degrade herself to kneel.
Melody pulled out her fancy card and handed it to the sales lady as well, "I am sure your shop has rules about first come, first serve, right?"
The sales lady could only nod, while Mina looked around at the people whispering and pointing at her and felt embarrassed.
"I am Mina Hawk, you dare to still buy this even though I want it." Mina refused to give up.
Melody briefly thought, but couldn't think of any Hawk family that was important. "That's great, your last name suits you well since you won't stop hawking like a bird. There is nothing in this world that I don't dare to do." She responded as she waved for the sales person to continue.
Before the sales lady could ring the dress a manager came rushing over upon hearing Mina who was like a money pot for their store. He could only see money when he looked at her.
"What is going on? How could you listen to these wicked sound girls instead of our well valued customer??" the manager said as he took the dress.
Serenity was getting irritated with this petty charade, "Just forget it, dogs will be dogs. I don't need a dress that has been tainted by filth." Her face was painted with disgust as she looked at the clowns trying to perform a show.
Melody was very big on principles, this may be a small matter, but she had been here first, she took a deep breath and just when she going to let it go, Mina spoke again, "Who are you calling a dog, with your looks, it's quite clear how you can afford to be here."
Obviously people understood the underlying meaning.
The crowd was stunned by this remark. Different reactions could be heard. Some dirty minded individuals agreed with Mina while some of the smarter ones could tell with one look that it wasn't true at all, afterall, Serenity maybe gorgeous, but her mannerisms too noble to be that kind of person.
Melody was fuming at this comment and even Serenity who seemed very calm was fed up with this typical white lotus bitch.
"Oh, Miss Hawk sure speaks well, I'm sure your very familiar with this kind of thing since you only need to look at my gorgeous face to think those kind of nasty things." Serenity responded slowly to the woman.
She was over this and the energy needed to talk to her was exhausting, she was hangry now too.
