Adrian called Ethan to his office, before that he had told Karina about his planned.
Ethan knocked on his door :"Did you looking for me sir ?"
Adrian :"Yes come in, have a sit. I want to ask your opinion about Karina, Do you think she suits with her work here ?"
Ethan :"What do you mean sir ?"
Adrian :"She had made some mistakes and I'm afraid she'll do another mistake again in the future, I know you've been cover her up till now, but learning from the last lesson I don't want her to damage my firm again in the future."
Ethan :"So do you mean ..... ?"
Adrian :"Yeah I'm thinking replacing her with you."
Ethan :"Me ?"
Adrian :"Yes, time has proved your work so far, I'm satisfied with your achievement !"
Ethan :"Can I take this as a compliment ?"
Adrian :"Yeah I like you Ethan ! Actually I've known about my spoiled little girl attitude, but I still wanted to gave her a change in the past, and she couldn't make it. But I've made a good decision to put you to assist her for sometimes, it's to test your ability as well, and you've shown me good results ! So I promote you to be one of our manager in our department, show me your other achievements and I'll give you some rewards later !"
The bright smiled was raising up in Ethan's face :"Thank you sir, I promise I'll do my best for you !"
They shook hands together "Good luck Ethan ! The formal letter of your promotion will be submitted very soon !" "Yes sir"
When Ethan got back to his desk, he looked at Karina's office but couldn't see her, so he texted her a message.
Ethan :"Where are you ?"
Karina :"Taking some fresh air"
Ethan :"In the little garden ?"
Karina :"Yup"
Ethan got up and went to see her in the little garden, it was a little garden in the fourth floor of that office building, some employees often went there to have relax on their time off or having recess to find some clues of their cases. "I think she had known about her father's plan, I have to cheer up her and maintain her good mood. But why should I care about her ? But because of her I can get this position, but why am I feel uneasy ?" Ethan had those conflicts feeling inside his mind, but he kept on walking to see Karina, finally he saw her standing under gazebo, she's staring at the blue sky blankly, Ethan came near her.
Ethan :"What are you doing here ?"
Karina :"Enjoying the morning breeze. You've heard the good news ?"
Ethan :"What good news ?"
Karina :"You've been promoted to replacing me right ?"
Ethan :"But isn't it a bad news to you ?"
Karina :"At first I think it was a bad news when my dad mentioned about it yesterday, but after I think about it all over again maybe it's a good news to me. Now I feel like the big burden on my shoulder had been lifted up from me after all this time. Don't you think I should celebrate it ?"
Suddenly her tears fell from her eyes then she hugged Ethan "Can you lend me your shoulder for a while ?" Ethan cared her hair "Use it as you wish" He embraced her with his big wide chest "Just spill out your bad memories, then let it go all of them."
Karina finally stopped her crying, Ethan gave her his handkerchief.
Karina :"Thank you, I think I have to go somewhere to calm down my mind for a while. I want you to accompany me, can you ?"
Ethan :"I should tell Mr. Siauw first."
Karina :"No, let me tell him."
Karina went to the bathroom, she settle up her make up then she went to see his father.
Adrian :"What is it my child ?"
Karina :"Dad I want to go to S city to settle up my mind for a while."
Adrian :"Just go calm yourself down."
Karina :"But I want Ethan come with me, you said he's my bodyguard right."
Adrian :"Yes, but he has a lot of things to do in the next few days."
Karina :"Just give him three days off dad, I need him to accompany me."
Adrian :"Hmm... I think I should find you another bodyguard after this."
Karina :"I don't need other bodyguard, I only want him as my bodyguard !"
Adrian :"But he has other things to do in the office after this. He can't be your bodyguard again after this."
Karina :"I don't need any bodyguard again after this."
Adrian began to worried about his daughter, "This is not good, she's too attached to Ethan !"
Adrian :"OK you may go with him, I only give him three days off."
Karina smiled :"Thank you dad !"
She went back to her office, then she called Ethan to her office.
Karina :"You should get ready to accompany me to S city in the next three days."
Ethan :"Is Mr. Siauw allowed me to leave ?"
Karina :"Yes, he is. I've booked the tickets for the two of us. Now, help me to pack my things up I should prepare this place for you."
The next day both of them arrived at the airport early in the morning, they sent by Jack there. The flight took two hours, when they landed at S city there was a hotel staff's waiting to pick them up, they went directly to the hotel as a VIP guest, Karina's had booked the suite room at the top floor, it has two bedrooms inside and a big living room and dining room, it also has a little pantry. The view from the window was a wonderful blue sea, since the hotel was laid on the coast.
Ethan :"Did you only booked one room ?"
Karina :"Yes, it has two bedrooms here."
Ethan :"Ouw, so what's your plan next ?"
Karina :"Relax, I want to have sunbathe on the beach, will you go with me ?"
Karina changed her outfit into bikinis and she wore her bathrobe, not forget her sunglasses and big hat "Did you not bring your swimsuit ?"
Ethan :"No, I don't know if you'll go the beach."
Karina :"I'll buy you one then !"
Ethan :"No need."
Karina :"But I insist, since you're my bodyguard, you should follow me everywhere I go !"
Ethan was speechless, he couldn't refuse her. She went downstairs and she bought him a swimsuit,
Karina :"Here, change your cloth into this."
Ethan :"OK, I go back first."
Karina :"I'll wait for you at the beach."
Ethan heaved a heavy sigh when he got back to his room "Should I always follow her orders ? Why can I refuse her ?" He went down to the beach and searched for Karina there, he saw her laying on the beach bend only wearing her bikini, it showed her nice figure. Ethan went beside her he tried to avoid seeing her body, he couldn't deny it was tempting him.
Ethan :"So can you tell me your plans to go to this city ?"
Karina :"I've told you I want to relax."
Ethan :"Don't you think it's too long to have relax for three days ?"
Karina :"I'll tell you my plan tonight, right now just enjoy the sunbathe."
Ethan :"Do you want me to buy you some drink ?"
Karina :"Yeah get me some coconut water there."
Ethan :"OK I go get them."
Ethan came back with two coconut fruits in his hands :"Karina, I maybe can't accompany you again after this."
Karina took off her sunglasses, she's staring at him :"Why ?"
Ethan :"Your father had found you another bodyguard."
Karina :"But I've told him I don't want another bodyguard I only want you as my bodyguard !"
Ethan :"Yeah but I have to work at his office."
Karina :"If you can't guard me again then I don't need any bodyguard anymore !"
Ethan :"But it's for your safety !"
Karina :"I can't trust anyone else except you !"
Ethan :"Also maybe I'll moved to my apartment after we get back later."
Karina :"What ? Who allowed you ?"
Ethan :"Mr. Siauw had told me about this. He had prepared an apartment for me to live, it's near to the office."
Karina :"I'm not ready for this !" She took her phone and called her dad, she wanted to confirm about what Ethan just said, her father told her it was true. "Dad why didn't you tell me all about this before ? I don't agree with you ! I don't want him moved from our house and I still want him as my bodyguard !" she shut her phone off then. Adrian creased his eyebrows "Did he had gone so deep into her already ?"
After she ended her call with her dad, she glared at Ethan "You.... can't moved from my house without my permission !" She got back to her room, Ethan followed her silently.
When she got into her room, she couldn't hold her anger anymore, she hugged Ethan suddenly.
Karina :"I don't want to separate from you !"
Ethan smiled he cared her hair :"Calm down your anger so you can think clearly. I'm nobody to you, your father had set up a good plan for your future."
Karina :"But I will make sure you're on it as well !" she released him, she stared at him straight to his eyes "I think I'm in love with you !"
Ethan smirked :"Hey why don't you give the change to a man to confess ? Beside ... your father won't agree with our relation !"
Karina :"I don't care with him, if he'll insist you to move then I'll follow you !"
Ethan :"Please don't be so rash ! It'll make the condition get worse."
Karina :"I want to have sex with you now, I believe my father will let me go with you if he knows it."
Ethan :"No way ! I won't do that, it'll ruin my reputation !" Karina suddenly kissed his lips and she undressed him, but Ethan tried to control himself, he grabbed her body "Listen to me, I won't do it ! Please calm yourself down ! I have to leave you for a while."
Karina grabbed his back :"No Ethan please don't go !" He let go of her hands, and he left.
