Chapter 6 - Daisy (2)

Revelation, one after another, bit after bit, flooded into his mind as Zed activated his Mystic Omniscient Eyes: Glimmer of Truth, as soon as he arrive before the young lady, known to him as Daisy.

Unaware of what occurred outside, the bickering between Yui and Daisy, nor the snuggling cat on his chest, Zed's consciousness remain standing in the middle of a huge empty space, surrounded by multiple bookshelf containing all the information he needed.

Before his eyes, a long record of Daisy's life was presented to him. Granted that the Glimmer of Truth allowed him to see all that Daisy's know, arranged neatly from one lifetime to another, the latter story was all for Zed to review.

Possessing a total of 12 archive, with the first archive taking most of Zed's attention while the last, still in development. Just this bit of information told Zed that the young lady had been living, or more specifically reincarnated for a total of twelve time, with her current self, Tina Asagi as the eleventh, and Yui Asagi as her twelfth.

Right, Daisy, Tina and Yui, all three of them was a same person, having the same soul and connected by a Thread of Fate. And whiles Zed wasn't sure of it at first, thinking that maybe the Thread of Fate connected to Yui was only a coincidental and a show that told Zed the young girl was destine for something big, when he see the same thread on Daisy's (Tina) connecting to Yui intangibly, Zed knew what he was dealing with.

"[Soul Incarnation]", he guessed them right.

A forbidden technique, ones that allowed the practitioner to reincarnate into their chosen vessel in exchange for the lost of few bit of memories and erosion of soul. The Soul Incarnation was one of the many technique that goes against the heaven's will, but surprisingly, known by many and practiced by many that wished not to die.

With the technique, Daisy could also created a new vessel- which she did. Sacrificing her own life force to create them, an almost identical person to her, and reincarnating her soul at a slow pace yet quick in her own perspective.

For a full cycle, a complete reincarnation, the vessel had to reach the age of 16 before they fully inherited the practitioner's soul, memories and abilities alike. Which in turn, before the due age, a new personality would be created, having their own consciousness, specialty and whatnot. However, never once to worry about the rebellion of any of her created vessel, given that her feeling toward Zed was the only one left behind on her reincarnated soul, the process continued till the return of 'his highness'.

In which, the context could be confirm from Yui's action. Having been a few week apart from reaching 16, while the latter wasn't able to recall everything about Zed, the word Daisy still ringed a bell and stirred something within her. And to say the least of falling in love with someone else, so long as Zed wasn't that man, Yui would remain a saint before and after the reincarnation process.

And on the other hand, Tina who had long since passed 16, were now fully Daisy in action, with mind, heart, body and soul, sworn to serve Zed and only him. These just show how, forbidden the forbidden technique was. Or more like a curse that Daisy willingly embrace.

Skipping these detail that Zed had guessed, the latter waved his hand and skipped all 11 archive that could only stir his heart and not telling him the important stuff. And arriving at the first, the start of Daisy's life, whiles indeed the Soul Incarnation wiped few bit of her memories every time she reincarnated, to his supreme eyes, even a forgotten one remain known to him.

And indeed, like he wanted, the revelation was placed before his golden hues.

"Your highness, you're awake..." a crisp sound echoed within a luxury chamber. Attracting the gaze of a young man, who immediately put the brush back to it handle and smiled upon seeing her.

She seem to be on her twenty, with youthful beaming skin that couldn't hide her attractiveness. A lace headpiece was presented on her head, tidying her long light-blue hair that streamed till her slender waist. With them, her fringe wouldn't be too long that it would hide her beautiful azure eyes, the shade of skies that greeted other with gentle glint.

Her dress was the combination of black with white trim, with a full skirt at knee length. A white half-apron was wear on-top of her dress, it was laced on each edge giving them a more vibrant look. Down her knee, a black tights was present, locked down by a white lace garter, it prevent them from falling out and exposed themselves to preying eyes.

"You're finally here," said the young man, with a blessed expression that could never be hide from his personal maid. With a bewitching smile, the latter dived into his embrace and cuddle for a long while. Unaware to both, and will never be aware, Zed stood closely behind them and seeing their intimate interaction with a complicated expression.

The maid who had just walk up to the young man, possessing feature identical to Tina and Yui, or more precisely, they possess identical feature with the maid, told Zed that the girl before his eyes was the Daisy that he 'know'.

But never to be surprise by her, as he was reviewing her memories to begin with, Zed shrugged his thought and shifted his gaze toward the young man.

Wearing a clean golden robes, a clear indication that he was of royalty, and make clear by the calling that Daisy did, the identity of the young man was clear for Zed to see. But hardly attracted by them, Zed's eyes focused on his facial feature, something that he know far too well.

Possessing an otherworldly feature, so charming that even a goddess would fall for him, it no wonder than Daisy would fall head over heels for the latter. But knowing that wasn't the only reason, his empyrean physique, domineering yet gentle aura, and a plus when he was a genius prince, contributed to Daisy devotion.

But instead of looking at the young man with disgust like he would definitely do while seeing a handsome boy, more handsome than himself. To this young man in particular, Zed's lips was surprisingly tight shut.

After all, regardless of how he wished to ignore, the young man and himself, carried a strong resemblance, if not, was identical with one another.

Their features was the same without any difference, and so did their charisma which was confirmed time and time again every time the scenery changed. And while all these could be a coincidence, proven by his own Mystic Omniscient Eyes, and the same soul's wave length however, Zed couldn't deny the fact that he was indeed once, the young man, the prince that Daisy had serve a long time ago.

And reaching this conclusion, Zed snapped his finger and the space crumbled into nothingness, returning his consciousness back toward the real world, back to his own body.

All he wanted was to know whether or not someone temper with his mind, playing trick and trying to lower his guard by planting false memory and feeling that could one day cost his life. But now finding out that Daisy was in fact one of his lover, albeit a lover from a different lifetime, that was enough for him to stop knowing more than he should have.

Sure, while indeed staying for longer in her memories archive would allowed Zed to know more about the Shadow Monarch, which he unintentionally found out was indeed himself. Or more precisely, his past self. A past, was a past, after all.

The reason that Daisy stayed in Tiny World, reincarnating over and over again was all because she wanted to be with him again, and not because of an unfinished business that he left as the Shadow Monarch. And to his understanding, Daisy was only expecting her lover to return, as if, from a long trip from the underworld with the same identity that she know, the prince that she serve.

For as to why she believe that Zed would not remember her, all stem from the fact that even an Immortal who's mental strength was strong and powerful, wouldn't be able to recall every bit of information that dated thousands if not millions years ago. So for Zed, who left Tiny World and leaving Daisy behind before becoming an Immortal himself, having difficulty in recalling wasn't unheard-of.

Zed's eyelids trembled and his golden hues was slowly revealed as he opened his eyes. The first to enter his view, Daisy's faint smile that stayed no closer and no further from his face, brushing their noses together intimately. As she noticed her glance, the smile blossomed once more, charming many including Zed, and before she could react, had her own lips stolen by her beloved prince.

"Daisy..." Zed called as their lips parted, sorrow and guilt, while never was his, Zed still owned them. And feeling his roller-coaster of emotion, Daisy replied with another kiss, again and again, till they both losses breath.

"Why did you stayed behind," he asked though knowing the answer. Before he left her for the underworld, a promise was made between the two lover.

'One, to live their life to the fullest. And two, to live their life in happiness.' both promise was fulfilled by his past self, but as greedy as she was, Daisy didn't wish to part away.

"For one, without your highness, my life wasn't full. And for the second, without your highness, my life was mundane. Though knowing my time was limited when we parted away, having the desire to continue loving you, to remember you whiles no one could, and to be there when you return, even if in the end I waited for nought, I will still do it for you," she replied as a matter of factly.

"Fool," maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. Having glimpsed on her 11 complete archive, Zed know that she spoke only the truth. Or more like, she never did lied, never to him and will never even now. He trusted her, more instinctively and less factually. But knowing that now wasn't the time to be giddy and all with one another, Zed expression turn serious and gazed on her lifeless azure eyes.

Right, with a few week away before Yui's due age, Daisy (Tina) was all but a living person. Her heart had long since stopped beating, a factor that contributed to her lifeless and ghastly pale skin. And without the appearance of blood, her skin was as cold as ice, and though remain tender to Zed's touches, it wouldn't be long before it turned stiff.

For all Soul Incarnation's practitioner, this phase was essential and the most torturing. Granted that the technique defy heaven's will, the pain of losing memories and erosion of soul was hardly worth mentioning in comparison to living without actually living. In fact, as they were talking, Daisy was silently gritting her teeth to fight against her pain, to hide them from Zed which she failed even with her 11 lifetimes worth of experience.

"Partition," Zed called out and on top of his palm, a translucent object like orb floated about. With intention of severing them, a small portion was cut off from the huge orb, soon the latter disappear and the small fragment was all that left on his palm.

"Don't you dare reject," he whispered seriously, and understanding Zed like an open book, Daisy nodded and closed her eyes. Without resisting, she let Zed placed the fragment into her body, specifically into her soul.

"Sovereignty Decree'," Zed mumbled, and almost immediately he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
