Yu Canghai unleashed his formidable techniques, already seething with anger. Executing the Ravaging Heart Palm method, his hand exuded a poisonous aura, extending within a meter of his body. Observing this martial arts prowess, it was clear that Yu Canghai wielded immense power.
"Nice move!" sighed Chen Ang. "But it's futile!"
His right palm supported the back of the left, while the left thumb and ring finger clutched three darts. The index and middle fingers held a silver nail. Linghu Chong could only perceive an illusion of two hands, with six points of silver light flashing between them.
In an instant, these six points of silver converged towards Yu Canghai's vital points.
Crafted from durable titanium alloy, the six swallowtail darts possessed an aerodynamic shape, balanced perfectly due to large-scale computer simulations. With Chen Ang's expert handling, they pierced through the air with incredible speed, unveiling yet another mystical effect.
Yu Canghai dared not intercept them, perceiving the imminent danger in their trajectory. He could only sense the faint whirring of the darts near his ear, recognizing the peril in attempting to counter them.
His cloak transformed, revealing a fine iron mask designed to safeguard his life. This unique martial art, acquired from Chuandi practitioners, coupled with the specifically fashioned cold iron mask, was Yu Canghai's hidden card.
Although the cold iron mask yielded to the darts like thin paper, their momentum slightly waned.
Yu Canghai's body, cloaked and low to the ground, generated an eerie illusion. The darts punctured the cloak but didn't cause him harm.
A sudden sound emerged behind him, yet not directed towards his ear, but instead targeted a group of onlookers.
Linghu Chong witnessed a six-pointed cold star flying from the door, moving through the air with electric speed, striking Qingcheng disciples precisely.
"Pu!"
The dart pierced through the neck of Hong Renxiong before he could react, rendering him motionless. Others were hit in different body parts, collapsing to the ground in shock.
"This is a boomerang!" Yu Canghai realized. Before he could retaliate, he felt a chill in his heart and misstepped, inadvertently triggering two silver darts to strike either side of him.
Yu Canghai stared at the silver nail, threatening to pierce his chest. As he dodged it, the dart left a gaping three-inch hole in his chest.
In a fleeting moment, Chen Ang forced Yu Canghai to retreat using only six darts and two silver nails. The impressive Sichuan Sect disciple was left helpless.
"Take the forest to fight the swallows, the meteors catch the moon, look back at the moon, and the silver stars are scattered!" Yu Canghai recited calmly, acknowledging Chen Ang's mastery of hidden weapons. "Difficult to contend against, Qingcheng junior!"
"Not a dilemma, just teaching you not to come in and bother me and Brother Linghu drinking!" Chen Ang waved his hand, prompting several Qingcheng disciples to quickly exit the door.
Observing the disappointed expression of the disciples, Yu Canghai glared at Linghu Chong with anger, his eyes reflecting a deep-seated grudge.
"Since you don't want us to bother, then let's bid goodbye!" Yu Canghai, suppressing his frustration, gestured for the disciples to gather Hong Renxiong's body, swallowing his grievances.
"Hold on!" Chen Ang refused to let him leave.
Infuriated, Yu Canghai threatened, "How else do you want to provoke my Qingcheng?" His tone insinuated righteousness in martial arts. Yet, Linghu Chong, discerning from his speech, understood he was using the facade of the martial path's righteousness to cover his ulterior motives. With Ding Yi and Liu Zhengfeng present, he wasn't afraid of Chen Ang's hidden weapon.
"You interrupted my gathering. Can you simply cause trouble with just words? How audacious!" sneered Chen Ang. He recognized Yu Canghai's cunning intent through his shifting gaze.
Chen Ang had just used hidden weapons, most of which he learned from Yu Canghai. Hence, he considered this a golden opportunity for a live demonstration.
When one learns martial arts, they usually find it hard to gain the true essence in a brief encounter with the Master. Often, it takes years of arduous training, aligning oneself with the Master's mood, and receiving only a sentence or two of the authentic teachings. Yet, even then, it might only be the tip of the iceberg, leaving the student vulnerable to the Master's hidden intentions. This was a common pitfall for many in the martial world.
Chen Ang, however, possessed an unparalleled ability to grasp techniques quickly. Just as Yu Canghai unleashed a flying cone at him earlier, Chen Ang seized the opportunity to learn Yu Canghai's unique technique under these heightened conditions. He even managed to replicate a few unexpected maneuvers. He was an adept learner; his martial prowess and comprehension skills were truly remarkable.
Though Chen Ang's current understanding of internal forces was lacking, he wished to understand the Ravaging Heart Palm, and reveal to Yu Canghai that even this seemingly invincible technique had its weaknesses.
However, before Yu Canghai could speak, Ding Yi Grandmaster and Liu Zhengfeng arrived at the scene, causing Chen Ang to reluctantly back down as the confrontation was about to escalate.
Unexpectedly, someone did not want Yu Canghai to back down.
"Yu Dwarf's shrinking head technique indeed astounds, but we must reveal to everyone that Qingcheng martial arts not only shrink heads but also shrinks their courage! Hahaha!" A hoarse voice echoed from nowhere, disorienting the listeners.
"How dare these cowards speak so insolently!" Yu Canghai couldn't contain his fury, drawing his longsword and scanning the surroundings.
Before anyone else could speak, a hunchbacked figure tucked in the corner exclaimed, "Yu Canghai, don't disgrace yourself!" The hunchback, glaring resentfully at Yu Canghai, was eager to pick a fight.
Others were clueless about his identity, but Chen Ang recognized him immediately.
The hunchback was none other than the unfortunate Lin Pingzhi, a tragic figure from the past whose family was massacred, leading him to seek vengeance against Yue Buqun. Chen Ang recalled his tragic history and often pondered about the different paths Lin Pingzhi's life could have taken.
In the midst of this chaos, Lin Pingzhi stood there, Yue Buqun not far off, and Mufeng lurking nearby. The scene was indeed a spectacle. Without Chen Ang's intervention, Lin Pingzhi would either be apprehended by Mufeng or protected by Yue Buqun, resulting in no change in his fate. Yet, if Chen Ang were to intervene, would Yue Buqun step in?
