The muted tone of Chu You's words seemed like whispers from a demon, Bao'er's small body visibly shuddered as she frantically switched to video mode.
"Why are you still awake at this late hour, playing with your phone? Or are you not feeling well?" As he said this, Teacher Qin outside the window stopped tiptoeing, walked up to Bao'er's bedroom door, and gently knocked. "Bao'er, open the door!"
Bao'er was extremely nervous, she recoiled, finally leaning against the wall, her face filled with fear as she stared at the door.
"Open the door, let the teacher have a look."
"No!" Perhaps out of extreme nervousness, her last word 'no' was as if she was shrieking. Though, it carried an adorable hint of youthful fear, causing Teacher Qin outside the door to be more impatient. He felt an irritable itch in his heart, something he could neither scratch nor stop, which only further intensified his urgency. He knocked on the door again.
