Surveying the pyramid and the jackal's Ba Ye creates a sniper rifle and shot one of the jackals straight through the head. Instantly the lack swarmed the carcass and ate it which made An Hue nearly pass out from the sight alone. The fur on the jackals that ate the carcass changed color and their size changed. Shea knew instantly that these were the Devourer's Descendants jackal type. The jackal had the special ability to gain power from eating other Devourer's Descendants jackal type of the same sex. Males would eat males. Females would eat females.
Having recovered her Demonic power Shea crept up slowly to the jackals. Ba Ye sniper several down but Shea screamed at him to stop. Noticing the direction the screaming was coming from the jackals rushed at Shea with fury but Shea rushed passed them and swiped at the stronger jackals waiting to devourer their comrades. Lungeing at the nearest one Shea swiped at its neck but could not make a scratch. Realizing that her base form meant nothing in this battle she transformed into the only demon she could control Aamon. An Hue finally recovering from the initial shock she cast the magician card which sent multiple spires up separating the stronger jackals from the weaker ones. Chui set his support totem down and rushed into the fray with Chui and Ba Ye who switched to an assault rifle. Spraying into the pack Ba Ye unleashed his prototype poison bullets he then realized that they took more Weapon energy and time to create but dealt better damage and the poison would evaporate right after the target dies. Slashing and stabbing the pack of jackals Jax and Chui looked more like demons the Shea in Aamon form. Sky beating jackals with her staff she looked like a sense disciplining her students whacking the jackals on the head-crushing their skulls.
The jackals never had time to eat their comrades. The jackals fought tooth and claw. A jackal's claw stabbed into the clothes of An Hue and tried to bite into her internal jugular. As the jackal jumped and tried to bite An Hue, Chui threw a knife at the jackal throwing it off course into the bullets of Ba Ye. An Hue looked in awe at the direction from which the knife came from and saw Chui asking if she was alright. Knowing that she would have died because she has no close combat ability thanked Chui with a flirtatious look. Doing the thing females do with their hair pulling it off of their ear. Chui showed a faint smile and continued to rush into the fight.
An Hue sent her magician and cast the second form of the magician the fire face. The first face is of earth and the second is of fire. Switching to the fire face she used the magician to cast a firestorm and a fireball landed on a jackal that snuck up on Chui. Shea and Jax stood back to back stalling and stabbing into the jackals finally killing all of them. Ba Ye has killed 20 of the weaker ones and 10 of the stronger ones. Jax and Chui killed 15 of them individually, Shea killed 20 and Sky killed 10 and An Hue killed 9 for a total of 99 waits that are wrong there should have been a hundred of them. Shea pointed out that the pack usually 100+ jackals. Ba Ye said that if they head into the pyramid that the jackals could not find them. And so they went in not knowing that they left a jackal to feast on 98 jackal bodies because it was a dual gendered mutant... it was only till later they realized their mistake.
