The next morning, as soon as Guding woke up and was about to doze off again, he heard the teasing voice of the Sea Emperor in his ear. "Hey, hey, don't go back to sleep, there's good news."
"What good news?" Guding sat up quickly, knowing full well that once the Sea Emperor started talking, any hopes of sleeping late were dashed, as he would nag incessantly.
"The latest bounty order just came out this morning, guess what your bounty amount is?" The Sea Emperor knew that as an interstellar pirate, Guding would certainly be pleased to hear that his bounty had increased.
"I can't be bothered to guess. Am I the only one whose amount increased? What about the others?" Guding walked barefoot to the bathroom to wash up.
