Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Consecutive Wins in the Arena

Looking at Guding's data, many people in the stands watching the battle shook their heads, mourning for Guding.

"Poor little guy, he had no idea how strong his opponent was, did he?"

"It's possible that after seeing the last match, he accidentally hit the button out of nervousness."

"Will he have his head twisted off and kicked like a ball by that guy?"

Almost no one in the spectator seats believed in Guding; all the comments were unanimously pessimistic.

To avoid affecting the battle, the arena was soundproof from the viewing area, so Guding couldn't hear what people outside were discussing. Even if he could hear them, he wouldn't care.

In the Beginner Arena, everyone's Cell Comprehensive Index was set to 100 points by the system, and the various physical data were distributed in the same proportion according to each person's actual physical status. If a person's Cell Comprehensive Index was 10, with a cell strength of 2 and cell activity of 3, then in the Arena, the Cell Comprehensive Index would be 100, with cell strength increased to 20 points and cell activity raised to 30 points.

A Cell Comprehensive Index of 100 points was the limit that a Third Rank Genetic Body could reach under normal circumstances. In the Beginner Arena, only Genetic Bodies of Third Rank and below could participate. A Cell Comprehensive Index of 100 points was enough for participants to maximize the power of their moves and hone their combat skills, while the proportional data distribution allowed everyone to retain their fighting style and characteristics.

Standing on the arena stage, Guding felt power coursing through his body. This sensation of possessing strength made all his muscles tremble with excitement. Although this body was virtual, it perfectly simulated the body's feedback. However, Guding did not realize that his trembling appeared to the onlookers and his opponent as fear and nervousness.

"Heh heh, little guy, you're already shaking with fear. Don't worry, I won't let you die so quickly," the Bald Man said with a cruel smile. "I'll first break your arms, then shatter your legs, and finally twist off your head."

"Sounds terrifying, but do you have the ability?" Guding grinned.

Seeing the seemingly mocking smile on Guding's face, the Bald Man was filled with rage. His large figure leapt into the air, his burly right hand clenched into a fist and launched forward with force.

Guding's face turned slightly serious, and he assumed the stance of "Extreme Body Technique" in place. As the Bald Man's figure closed in, he finally threw a punch, "Iron Fist!"

The diminutive fist collided forcefully with the Bald Man's massive one.

With a "boom," the crashing sound spread out. The noise was entirely unlike that of two fists colliding—it sounded like an explosion. And a moment later, something even more astonishing happened. The burly Bald Man was sent flying backward, his right hand completely vanished. Moreover, his entire body began to shatter from his right arm, quickly disappearing from the arena stage.

Regathering his form below the stage, the Bald Man's face was still full of shock. He looked up at Guding on the arena stage and realized the difference in their abilities, lowering his head in dejection.

Guding remained on the stage, with no intention of stepping down. That previous strike, with the Iron Fist achieving an explosive effect, gave him a deeper understanding of "Extreme Body Technique." The reason his moves didn't exert their full power was primarily due to insufficient physical strength. On this stage, the virtual body's Cell Comprehensive Index reached the height of 100 points, allowing him to not only hone the moves he had already learned but also practice subsequent moves that physical limitations previously prevented.

"It seems like the player 'This Killer Is Not Afraid of Cold,' after one unexpected victory, is not planning to stop here. Is there anyone daring to accept his challenge?" The announcer's voice once again resonated, tinged with provocation.

"Quite a remarkable power..." Guding glanced down at his fist. Defeating his opponent with a single strike was something he hadn't anticipated; he originally thought there would be a struggle.

Just as Guding was a bit distracted, another person was teleported onto the arena. He appeared around twenty years old, looked ordinary, and wore an ill-fitting white suit. But his ID name was "Waking up every day by my own handsomeness."

Guding glanced at the opponent's ranking, 1127809, even worse than the previous Bald Man.

"You got lucky last time, but running into me, you'll only be my stepping stone," the White Suit competitor posed in what he thought was a dashing manner, pointing at Guding.

Guding gave a grin, "Then give it a try."

The White Suit competitor took a single step, leaving a trail of afterimages.

Guding raised an eyebrow, executed a Dark Step, and appeared in front of the opponent even faster. Again, an Iron Fist exploded forth. The White Suit was sent flying, crashing into the Protective Shield and quickly shattering, reappearing outside the arena.

"It seems like this guy not only possesses terrifying power but also has extraordinary speed," some below the stage, who hadn't initially taken Guding seriously, began to notice his performance.

On the stage, another challenger soon appeared.

Rank 1089911, a one-move kill.

Rank 1054231, a one-move kill.

Rank 1011379, a one-move kill.

Rank 996504, a one-move kill.

...

By now, Guding had won six consecutive matches, advancing his rank into the top million. His swift rise in ranking also caught the attention of the arena's internal staff.

A woman with short golden hair had her black knee-high leather boots propped on the monitor table, watching Guding's combat videos several times. After a moment, she took a small makeup mirror from her red handbag, glanced at herself in it, and said to the side, "Check who around the 500,000 rank mark is free, arrange for them to have a match with this young fellow."

"Understood!" A tall man in a suit nodded respectfully, then gestured and instructed the staff nearby.

Pasher felt puzzled, wondering why he had been arranged by the staff to compete with someone ranked 990,000. He was currently at 500137, almost crossing into the 500,000 mark. But the condition offered by the arena was hard to refuse: if he won, he would receive a bottle of E-level good quality Genetic Enhancement Potion. For him, still a Second Rank Genetic Body, this potion might allow him to advance to a Third Rank Gene Body. So, he readily accepted.

When Pasher appeared on the arena stage, many in the stands gasped. It wasn't that players ranked around 500,000 were rare, but generally, those at this level would not proactively challenge players ranked outside 600,000.

Guding was also taken aback when he saw his opponent's rank.

"Heh heh, it seems your performance caught the attention of some important figure. They specifically picked a slightly challenging opponent for you," Sea Emperor's laughter reached Guding's ears without restraint.

Guding's mouth turned into a grin, his gaze like a beast eyeing its prey. After several matches, he began to show his sharpness, his eyes brimming with intense fighting spirit.
