"Was this guy here to be funny?"
When everyone saw Lex, this was their first reaction, but someone quickly noticed that Lex was very serious.
A Federation military admiral stepped forward, preparing to fight in place of his superior.
"Rach, stand down," Sharp's voice suddenly rang out, as the camera on the insect robot zoomed in.
Sharp's physique was not particularly tall, and his poker face was unremarkable. Yet, he stood ramrod straight, easily recognizable as a soldier in the crowd. His most distinguishing feature was the black-sheathed long sword on his right hip. Though the scabbard was plain and lacked ornate decoration, it was meticulously crafted.
"If we were elsewhere, I would be happy to spar with other swordsmen," Sharp said, still expressionless, "but under today's circumstances, I'm sorry..."
