Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 My name is Guding

"Sea Blue Star, 4.5 billion years old, with a radius of 6378.2 kilometers. 71% of its surface is covered by water, while the rest is land, presenting an ocean-blue color. It rotates on its own axis every nearly 24 hours, and revolves around its constant star—Xuanyang Star—in a yearly cycle. Its satellite is Moon God Star, which rotates around Sea Blue Star every 27.32 days..."

Having finished playing the short film about Sea Blue Star, Lin Na's gaze swept over the group of children below her and noticed a pair of eyes firmly fixed on her. She followed the gaze.

The child had short, black, tousled hair and both pupils were also black. His physique was slightly frail compared to his peers. His gaze carried a hint of confusion, but it was clearly not focused on the holographic projection behind her but on her instead, which caused her to frown slightly.

Lin Na had always been confident in her disguises—the introverted and taciturn planetary teacher being one of the least challenging roles in her disguise career. She smirked. If it weren't for that woman's boyfriend being the courier this time for the Federation Government, she wouldn't have had to disguise herself as this suffocating woman. Fortunately, the goods had already been secured, and the mission was complete. As soon as this lesson was over, she could leave this primitive planet without any flaws being detected.

But the boy's gaze bothered her. "Could he have noticed something?"

Thinking this, she looked down at the instructional screen in front of her. Her fingers lightly tapped the display table revealing the seat number, and the information about that boy was quickly displayed.

Name: Guding

Gender: Male

Age: 15

Gene level: First Order

Special Ability: Unawakened

Cell Comprehensive Index: 10

Spiritual Power: 9.8

Combat Talent: B+

Comprehension: A

Special Event: During the new student inauguration ceremony, openly expressed the wish to "become the man with the highest bounty amount in the entire Cosmic Sea."

Evaluation:

Advantages: Possesses extraordinary comprehension and combat talent.

Disadvantages: Strong personality, difficult to discipline.

Lin Na looked at the boy's data and was somewhat surprised. "Without a detection-related special ability, he shouldn't be able to discover my disguise. It's not unusual for the cell index of a mature adult of the First Order Genetic Body to reach 10 points after training, but for one's spiritual power to be this high is not something easily achieved through cultivation...And openly wishing to become an interstellar pirate at a Federation military training base, interesting..."

A mischievous smile played on her lips, "Mr. Guding, could you please tell us the current proportion of the indigenous population on Sea Blue Star?"

Guding was momentarily taken aback, then stood up unhurriedly. "The current proportion of the indigenous population on Sea Blue Star is 18.1%, about 340 million."

Lin Na stealthily glanced at the screen for the answer, then posed a second question, "Second question, other than the natives, how many immigrant species are there on Sea Blue Star?"

"There are already records of 117 immigrant species, totaling about 1.53 billion," Guding replied without any hesitation.

Lin Na looked down at the data and found no discrepancies. She slightly narrowed her eyes, remained silent for a moment, and then continued, "Please briefly describe the incident of the sharp decline in the population of Sea Blue Star People."

This topic was actually something that happened before the New Era and was a dark history, deeply avoided in educational materials and vaguely explained. By raising this issue, Lin Na was clearly attempting to trouble Guding.

Guding raised his eyebrows and continued to answer. "In the year 7842359 of the Federation Era, which is the year 2112 in the Sea Blue Star calendar, a meteor carrying a highly contagious unknown virus crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on Sea Blue Star. The virus began to spread rapidly, causing massive deaths, and the corpses, controlled by the virus, actively attacked the remaining living beings. Over eight years, the population plummeted from 7 billion to 300 million, and the survival rate of other species was less than 0.1%. The Cosmic Federation government intervened to preserve the civilization of this planet, sending troops, and after seven months, they eradicated the virus entirely. They then rebuilt and incorporated Sea Blue Star, which officially became a member planet of the Federation Government. It was also officially renamed from Earth to Sea Blue Star…"

Lin Na's face briefly showed an awkward expression; her gaze shifted slightly and landed on a blond boy to the left, who looked almost asleep. She glanced down slightly at the name displayed on the teaching guidance screen, "Student Guding, you may sit down now. Student Reid, please answer…"

The day's classes ended quickly, and as Guding was about to leave, Reid called out to him, lowering his voice, "Hey, did you feel that today's Teacher Ailee seemed a bit different from before?"

"She did seem different. What about it?" Guding had also noticed something unusual.

"I think the woman who taught us today is an impostor," Reid raised an eyebrow.

"An impostor?!" Guding was taken aback. He had merely sensed a change in Teacher Ailee, but Reid's speculations usually had some basis.

"This woman showed many flaws. First, when she was using the teaching screen, she initially used her left hand, suggesting she was left-handed, but later seemed to remember this and switched to her right hand. Teacher Ailee is right-handed, which is common knowledge."

"Second, the last question she posed to you was about the dark history of planets; such history is prohibited by the Federation Government from being included in educational documents, and teachers are not allowed to discuss it openly. With Teacher Ailee's conservative nature, she would never touch such topics."

"These are the main two flaws, and there are several other details where she slipped up. She didn't know our names, nor did she know the answers to the two questions she asked you, so she had to look down at the seating names and check the teaching guidance. During the half-hour class, she spoke for a total of less than seven minutes, whereas the real Teacher Ailee usually talks for about eighteen minutes each time she explains the teaching files. Need I go on?"

"I'm leaving now." Guding, who was busy packing up his things, hadn't listened to Reid's reasoning process.

"Don't you want to know where the real Teacher Ailee is? Who this woman is? What her purpose is in disguising herself as Teacher Ailee?" Reid seemed eager to continue reasoning.

"Teacher Ailee is probably already dead, and where her body is located is something for the Federation Army to worry about. As for that woman's identity earlier, that's also the Federation Army's concern. I'm off to work at Auntie Meat Floss's now. Bye, chatterbox!" Guding interrupted Reid's ceaseless talking.

"Asshole, I wasn't finished. The chances of Teacher Ailee being dead are only ninety-one percent; there's still a nine percent chance of survival. This woman's identity has a greater than sixty percent chance of being..." Reid cursed and continued to boast about his own powerful deductive skills.

Escaping the school, Guding rode his hoverbike toward the western part of the city.

The western city was a backward and noisy area. Garbage piled everywhere emitted a nauseating stench, and the frequent alarms throughout the day caused one's ears to harden. This place was the source of sin and a paradise for criminals.

This area also had another name—Red Light District. Although in the past the Red Light District referred to places of entertainment, in this case, "red light" signified warnings, implying a place where alarms sounded incessantly.

Because of the mixture of characters, it also became a temporary stopover for many interstellar pirates. Although Sea Blue Star was a newly developed planet, the number of interstellar pirates passing through was increasing daily. Guding had grown up in this district and, as far as he could remember, it had always been a paradise for interstellar pirates.

Looking ahead at the sign for Rose Tavern not far in front, Guding slowed his pace, his gaze inadvertently catching sight of a familiar figure at a left intersection.

"Huh, what's she doing in the Red Light District?" A flicker of doubt crossed Guding's mind, but the figure disappeared in a flash. After a moment's hesitation, his curiosity got the better of him, and he stealthily followed.
