"Nora, he will be there in five minutes."
Eleanor has been hearing this sentence from her best friend for at least ten times in the last hour. She wanted to ask when these five minutes will finally come, but she won't because she knows she will answer that this time was for sure like the past nine times. She has bags under her eyes. As a senior researcher and surgeon at the University of Cambridge Hospital, her team was responsible for examining an unknown disease found in a patient. The disease is somewhat peculiar showing initial symptoms of both low and high blood pressure and leukemia in the later stages. It took them a year to finally found a clue. Now, she should be with her team celebrating the success but here she was on a suppose blind date with her partner nowhere in sight.
Eleanor sighed. She had the tickets for an exhibition in the tower of London gifted by her best friend which was supposed to be the location for the date. They were supposed to meet in a cafe nearby. She wondered why she did the stupid thing of traveling two hours for this. She sighed again. She decided to go to the exhibition alone.

"The Kohinoor is one of the largest cut diamonds in the world, weighing 105.6 carats. It is part of the British Crown Jewels. Probably mined in Kollur Mine, in India, during the period of the Delhi Sultanate, there is no record of its original weight – but the earliest well-attested weight is 186 old carats. The diamond was part of the Mughal Peacock Throne. It changed hands between various factions in south and west Asia, until being ceded to Queen Victoria after the British annexation of Punjab in 1849. It is said to be unlucky for men to wear the Kohinoor diamond owing to its long and bloody history." The host introduced the diamond in all its glory.
Eleanor could not help hold her breath in anticipation, and sure enough, it did not disappoint her. As a female, she was already weak against beautiful jewels but this one gave her an ethereal feeling, like viewing the doors to a new world. The jewel was beauty and power to its core. As they say, whoever owned the Koh-I-Noor ruled the world. It can really bring everyone to their knees.
A piercing scream cut through the air disrupting her from the dreamlike state. She heard the scream again and then gunshots. The host screamed for them to lie down. But everything happened too fast. Before she could react, she felt a sharp pain in her chest. She touched it and felt sticky. As a doctor, she knew her life was coming to an end. She could not help but regret for her short life of twenty-nine years. Soon dizziness took her and she closed her eyes.

"Oh my look over there. It's the princess." A maid sarcastically said to another, pointing her finger at a girl walking in the distance.
"Who is that? Isn't it the elegant princess." Another one giggled
"let's get out of the way so we don't block her path." the three maids burst into laughter.
One maid slowed down and cautiously looked at the girl.
"Lipika, what are you doing? Come quickly!" Hearing her senior's order, she also turned and walked away with the other maids.
Although the girl heard the maids whispers and tone, she appeared as if their conversation had nothing to do with her. She was wearing a white silk turban in her head, a golden color short shirt, Riha draped around the body and the shoulder, Mekhela in the waist. Her eyes were moving around the flowers in the garden, the clear blue sky, and the majestic building which was made out of stones and wood she just came out from like it was the first time she had ever seen those.
"I am still in this world," she mumbled to herself.
Its been a few days since Eleanor came to this world. At first, it was quite confusing. Everyone's attitude and mockery surprised her. And she was angry for a while but she was used to it now.
"Has it already been a week?" she sighed again. She was a princess in this world. To the northeast of a country named Hindustan, there is the kingdom of Ahoms. Their ancestors are said to have migrated from around China and came to Hindustan in search of a kingdom to rule. At first, she thought that she was kidnapped by some tribes living in the mountains. Afterward, when she saw the traditional tools and the weird costumes people were wearing, she thought that maybe she was transmigrated to the past. Only when she understood why the people around her seems to keep mocking her that she understood that she has traveled to a completely different world. It may be a parallel world but people of this world especially Royals have powers. It may vary from breathing out fire and ice to being a hundred times more powerful than a commoner. Powers here seem to be a symbol of royalty. At the age of sixteen, the power manifests on the body of the young royals and after that, they can take part in battles to bring glory to their kingdom. but the body of hers seems to have none. Though her king father and queen mother still dotes on her, she does not know for how long that will be. And all other people from high officials to servants seem to disdained her.
