Chapter 11

On the sudden call, the King rushed towards Eva's wing. "What's the matter there?" the king asked restlessly. At the door, Alora and other people, including a few passerby maids gathered around trying million useless ways to unlock the door. "Eva!" the King called out. "Father...." Alora tried to reach King but moved ahead towards the door. "Eva? Princess Eva open the door! Father wants to have a word with you. Open the door!" the King yelled at top of his lungs but non a word came out from another side. "Princess Eva, this is the order of the King, open the door." this time words came out from King's were sharp and cold which chilled the atmosphere in a blink. And that did work. Eva opened the door slowly, letting the King and Alora in. "Was this a kind of a play?" the King growled which startled Alora but Eva stood indifferent. "Eva this is the thing which makes me think twice while involving you in any important tasks." Alora froze in place, bewitched by her father's words. It was the first time she heard him say. ".... Look at your twin sister. She's so efficient in everything."

"And this is what makes me hate you for." Eva sounding distressed glared at father-daughter. "You always try to compare me with her with all her abilities. You never found anything good in me. Your Majesty forgot even though we are twins we are two different individuals. But you just...." a heavy sob escaped painfully from Eva's lips. "Eva?"

"You don't even try to talk to me!" Alora tried to reach her but Eva jerked off. "Well, who are you? I don't know you, do I?" both pairs of eyes popped out of cases on Eva's comment. "Eva! I'm your sister." drinking off coldness Alora managed to compose herself. "Thanks to the holy moon you remember." Eva shrugged nonchalantly. "How can you be so heartless, Eva. Do you know what our father's being through for us and this kingdom?" Eva continued to glare at them not showing a glimpse of care in her eyes. "Eva?" for being speechless for a couple of moments the King sounded soft with teary eyes. Eva looked up to him with half of the disdain. "Many apologies dear Eva. I am so sorry for my deeds dear. Please calm down." the King approached Eva softening his tone deeper and deeper. "I am so sorry my daughter but I can't help it. please Eva forgive me. it's your foolish father begging you." the king kneeled in front of his daughters announcing his defeat. "father!" both the princesses ran towards their father like babies and hugged him sobbingly. "I'm sorry father." "me too." the trio cried for like eternity holding each other tightly. "Eva, would you like to do some real princess work?"

"... And this is the training wing." Mr. Hontas with both the princes reached the last wing of the castle. "Brother, want a game?" Ethan asked his brother."Let's pull you down." Both the princes commenced there fight with the daggers. They played with there daggers in the most severe ways that even the other troopers stopped there exercise and watched both princes. "Well, it looks like you found something interesting here." The King remarked interrupting the combat. However, the King was followed by his elegant beauties which sparkled the princes' eyes. "Eldric, Ethan, meet my daughters. Alora and Eva." The King introduced everyone. "Your Majesty, Your Highness, the dinners prepared and willing to be served." The announcer said.

The royal dinner table stood all set with the special cuisine for guests. "Let's toast everyone."

Hours passed by and the busy day finally ended in an enchanting twilight, giving everyone time to alleviate in their respective chambers. Eldric sat at his bed thinking about various things that happened since the sunshine. Everything became tougher and tougher for him to have in as it was a long time since he left his residence due to responsibilities. He was about to check on Ethan when a thud sound echoed from his aisle. It was a separate wing for the guest, perfectly prepared for both of them to relax. Getting alerted, he tried to reach his blade but before he could move a powerful swift of the blade swayed an inch away from his torso. Noticing the stroke missed the intruder ran towards the window to jump off. "Hey?" Eldric caught the piece of the clothing in an attempt to catch the glimpse of the attacker. Twisting it more further he pulled down the attacker to the floor. "I commanded who are you and on whose word you did?" Eldric crouched to reach the attacker face to face. The pinned down person tried to push up to free the mask from eyes fell off reveling the most beautiful silver-gray eyes which made Eldric lose his focus and failed to grip and the attacker nudged Eldric to his back and escaped the encounter. "Hey, wait!" But before he could hold back, it was late. The attacker disappeared in the darkness. Eldric felt disheartened and thought the memory of beautiful eyes was the only thing left behind but when he strode back he found a gorgeous jaded brooch lying on the floor. "So it was her?"

The dawn crashed too soon than ever could. At least for few people in the Drayceland kingdom was. "Great morning kids." The princes were greeted by the Royal Magician Xacka. But Xacka was greeted by bizarre stares. "Don't worry. I'm Royal Magician Xacka. It's an honor to meet you." Xacka bowed respectfully. "We too." They shared known smiles. "Uncle Xacka?" A soft feminine voice echoed through the hallway. "Princess Alora and Princess Eva. It seems like I missed a lot of exciting things." Xacka commented sarcastically. "Not too much...."

"Many apologies, Your Majesties. Our King expecting you in the dining hall." The announcer announced. "Shall we proceed?"

"This way." Eva showed the path. "Good morning, Princess Alora!" Eldric stunned Alora. "Good morning." She replied hesitantly. "Well, I know what's wrong with you. Somethings missing. Um, is it yours?" He takes out the jaded brooch, found the previous night. Alora's face dropped color to its palest. "Where did you found it?" She asked back nonchalantly. She pulled Eldric to an isolated side. "It was misplaced days ago. Thank you so much...." As Alora was to grab it he pulled back. "I don't think, Your Highness, misplaced it days ago," Eldric said with a grimace. "Stop it." Alora finally jumped on and seized the brooch.
