"Sir, the subject is unstable. Should we continue the operation?"
I opened my eyes.
It hurt.
A lot.
There was a faint beeping noise in the background.
It was kind of annoying.
"Blood loss is exceeding the amount we can supply. At this rate, he won't make it to Phase 2."
"Continue." I heard a familiar nasally voice.
Ah... him.
That bastard.
I guess he got lucky and lived after being stabbed 9 times.
I should've stabbed him more.
"Sir, there are abnormalities detected within the subject's body."
"Hm... what is it?"
"Um... we're not sure, sir. We've never encountered this sort of problem before. It's almost like the cells in his body are mutating."
"What?"
"But that's not all. There are some changes in his brain, especially in 'that' place."
"Alright. Keep the operation going. Report any more unusual things."
"Sir..." A terrified doctor points at me. "He's awake."
That does it.
The bastard's head jerks and he cranes his neck to look at me.
I give the best crazed look I can give.
I smile.
"I'll kill you someday, you son of a b****."
I manage to say those last words before I black out.
Somehow the darkness is more comforting than the light.
But of course, that was before I knew what was going to happen.
