Chapter 52 - Chapter 45: The Seven Beauties

POV Shyora

I flicked my sword and the blood flew off. Dozens of nearby soldiers looked towards me with appreciation. I couldn't help but be filled with pride. Maybe Master would look more favorably upon me now? Perhaps I would become a servant he would treasure?

A polite cough interrupted my fantasies. I glanced at my fellow companions, succubi that served my master as well. All but one of our number was here, Isirith was watching over master's sister, protecting her from the worst abuses of the dragons.

"What should we do now?" Aza asked as she looked at her blade in disgust. She was the weakest of us, a newborn succubus by our standards. We all wanted a taste of master's dreams, though she'd been stupid enough not to heed my warnings.

"That one regiment resonated well…" Aza licked her lips and stared across the field at the 69th regiment. Murmurs of agreement followed as we all looked longingly across the field.

"For now… see to your equipment." I glanced at the succubi and felt the tug in the back of my mind that master was summoning me. We all looked at each other with a happy smile. He was summoning us all. We quickly chanted cleaning and beautification cantrips, we wouldn't dare look bad before our master. We sprouted our wings and flew low, barely above the heads of the soldiers we'd just helped. It was a quick flight over the city as we landed next to master. We formed a small line with me standing before the rest as we bowed to our master.

His aura was intense, far stronger than anything I could hope to replicate at my meager level. He slowly calmed himself and spoke. "You've done well, but I now have a task I need three of you to complete."

I swelled with pride and smiled at my master. Yes! Finally he realized how useful I could be to him. I could prove myself and further gain my master's favor. He might let me guard him like those weak soldiers did! "Whatever you need shall be done master."

Master sighed and cast a glance at the battlefield. "Three of you will act as my guards, the others will protect my brother. You will not leave his side..."

I swelled with joy. This was my chance! "Of course master, I will gladly lay down my life in this world for you."

Master sighed like I was some child but nodded his assent. I quickly picked the strongest fighters among us, Vylnara and Isirith. Zelleva, Brizona, and Orana would protect the master's brother. I giddily stood behind my master as he started walking the town. I couldn't mess this chance up! Master rarely gave me the honor of staying in his presence for long.

We strode into a small manor, half a dozen pompily dressed 'noble' ladies were there to greet him. Master ignored the hostile stares and anger directed at him, but my companions and I bristled at the offense. You should be crawling on the ground worms… kissing my master's grimiest boots.

"Greetings lord Fulton, I am Gea, mayor of Lodi." She curtsied but showed the minimum required courtesy.

The worm glanced at the rest of us. "Your soldiers are unwelcome in the governing manor lord Fulton."

My master smirked slightly. "They are not soldiers but lesser nobles, Lady Shyora, Vylnara, and Isirith."

I nodded to the commoner and gave her a small, polite smile. Afterwards I stared at Master's back. He remembered everyone's names? I felt a fuzzy feeling in my chest. I vowed to earn my master's trust, whatever the cost.

"My apologies ladies!" The commoners bowed without hesitation as they apologized to us. I glanced at my master but he didn't turn back, so I merely nodded and let my master take the lead.

"There are refreshments in the sun room should you wish to continue the discussions your brother started, lord Fulton." Gea motioned for us to follow. We were shown into a small room with a few male servants and the most important officials of this backwater town.

My master took a mug of wine and we all did the same. Isirith turned away and muttered an incantation under her breath and our wine slowly turned into water. Meanwhile Vylnara muttered another incantation and the water instantly took on a red hue again. Master nodded in their direction and they both swelled with pride. I maintained a steady facade as the commoners started pestering me.

"Lady Shyora, do you think the army will hold? I heard they were hard pressed this morning." One of them got between myself and my master. Isrith moved to stand near master so I stopped worrying.

I chuckled. "Golmor wasted her best chance this morning when we crushed her vaunted cavalry. I wouldn't be surprised if even now General Fulton was preparing to utterly crush Golmor."

"You seem fairly confident, lady Shyora." She remarked, drawing a bit close to me. The wine was evident on her breath. I easily picked up on the lust in her eyes, though she kept it hidden well, we succubi were well attuned to it.

"I have every reason to believe in General Fulton's strategy." I replied, taking a small step to quickly look at my master. His eyes caught mine and a frown was plaster on his face. I slowly read his lips. 'Get a snack.' I grinned.

"Oh? Could you tell me?" She asked, pressing close to me. I smiled at the pitiful woman. In schemes she was little more than an ameatuer to me. I pressed close to her and leaned towards her.

"Are you sure you want to know? It's a dastardly plan." I teased, letting a bit of my aura affect her. She flushed and pressed closer. I pressed my lips against hers and activated one of my skills, draining kiss. Sweet delicious life flowed between us, alas… Master only said a 'snack' so I quickly broke it off. The commoner stared at me with empty, emaciated eyes. She pressed closer to me but I gently pushed her away and walked over to my master.

"Perhaps we should retire for now, it has been a long day and I grow tired." Master nodded graciously to the worm Gea. A servant showed us to separate rooms but as quickly as the servant left I felt Master's summons.

Master's room was less grand than what they had given me but he didn't seem slighted over the simpler accommodations. As soon as the door was closed the three of us took a knee and bowed. We echoed each other. "Thank you Master."

He chuckled. "Be at ease, take whatever form you're most comfortable with."

We stood and shed our human forms, wings sprouted from my back as horns grew from my head, my tail lashed and coiled about my legs as my armor melted away, replaced by a thin dress that complimented my figure. Isirith and Vylnara had done similar. Master shrugged and chuckled to himself. "I guess I shouldn't expect a succubi's taste in clothes to change much should I?"

"What do you mean by that Master?" I asked playfully while staying a respectful distance away.

"Isirith there, her preferences are somewhat different then you two." Master winked at her before he opened his canteen and took a long drink. Vylnara and I stared at our fellow sister.

Vylnara wore a shirt, a massive V-neck that exposed her bare voluptuous breasts, her skirt was held by a belt with a pink heart as a buckle, though the hem was barely above her knees. She had these sensual torn black leggings and wore a pair of heels that gave her about an extra three inches. Vylnara played with her hair as she glanced seductively at our Master. "Do you like it master?"

"I like that you're showing a bit of difference in personality. It's nice to see you wearing something different every now and then." Master paused and his eyes grew unfocused for a moment before he moved to the window and looked to the East.

"It doesn't feel right." He murmured. I perched on the arm of the chair while Isirith laid on the bed and Vylnara leaned against the door. Master rarely spoke to himself in our presence…

"They're out there dying because of me…" his voice choked. He cleared his throat and closed the window. I muttered an incantation and the candles around the room flared to life.

"We will serve you in whatever manner you need Master." Vylnara bowed her head. I wanted to hold Master, to let him use me to ease his pain. But he didn't… trust us… trust me enough for us to be like that.

Master sighed and looked at me with a tired, devilish grin. I felt my blood stir as he walked towards me. He brushed a few strands of hair behind my horns. I could feel Vylnara and Isirith's envy grow as Master stared into my golden eyes. His blue eyes stared back, they looked beautiful, I wanted to kiss those handsome lips…

But I didn't move. I stayed still as my Master ran his hand through my hair. After a few minutes I closed my eyes and purred. He chuckled a bit but didn't stop. I… I liked this. I don't want my Master to stop.
