Chapter 28 - Royals

"How did you know I was here?" She replied as three guards arrived all around her.

"I suggest you all keep your swords in their scabbards, I can overlook the pranks of a child, but adults must know better." I said lightly, turning around I found that the girl behind me is about five foot five, brown hair and eyes, a bit of a sadistic aura, her guards tightening their grip around their swords a cold sweat falling down their cheeks.

"Lady, get away from that man, he is extremely dangerous." One of the guards said quickly moving forward but stopping just outside my striking range.

"Good training." I said drawing at a blinding speed, my saber stopping right at their nose, "But still, you have been warned not to draw your sword and yet why have I heard your blade move?"

Glancing up at the tree my eyes met with those of a person clad fully in black, a dagger in their hand.

"Come down this instant, all of you." I shouted, my voice infused with my aura causing them to immediately obey for fear of their young lady who had by now begun having a sparkle in her eye.

"Who are you?" She said happily walking forward to her guards great dismay.

"It is courtesy to introduce yourself first, little lady." I replied sheathing my sword and patting her head as I took a knee.

Pouting as she swatted my hand she spoke with a puffed up chest, "Behold, I am Princess Alumira of Lancard! I have come with my twin brother to study under the one called the Scarlet Demon of Durlivan, Agashi Durlivan!"

You fucking what? Princess of where?? Lancard?? Isin't that one of the low tier kingdoms to the west near Kitar??

If I'm not wrong Lancard is a warlike nation that calls the lands between Kendogan and the Federation of Duchies home along with several other low tier kingdom's who war with one another constantly.

Not letting my shock show on my face I smiled and spoke, "I see, your in luck, I was just heading back to the estate, why don't I escort you over?"

"Alrighty!" She said smiling proudly.

"Then, would the young princess like a ride on my back?" I asked laughingly.

"Can I?" She replied shockingly.

"Sure." I teased letting her climb up onto my shoulders to her guards increasing tension.

"Everybody stand down, he is not hostile to us." Princess Alumira said touching the tops of tree's.

Talking about Lancard and her twin brother all the way to the carriage I gained some good information.

To start with, Lancard has just gotten a peace treaty with it's neighbour Tensent and is now trying to rebuild, the treaty states that for the next two years neither kingdom will take hostile action towards the other under threat of being attacked by surrounding kingdom's looking for a chance to strike should they weaken any further.

For reference it seems that Lancard is double the size of the Dra Earldom with enough fire power to steam roll us, however, the Federation of Duchies is large enough to steam roll them, and Carrien is large enough to steam roll the Federation of Duchies.

So they do not dare to attack the Earldom, and instead as neighbours seek for cooperation and trade, something that the Tensent kingdom is also attempting to do by sending their own pair of prince and princess here to Durlivan to seek out the Scarlet Demon, a.k.a me, who they have decided is the greatest piece to getting a trade deal for their kingdom securing the path to the Republic in Luminos Lake.

By the time we arrived at the carriage the little princess had all but told me the most secret bits of information of her kingdom.

She's a bit fool hardy but that's not too bad.

"Who are you?!" Appearing from the brush many of the guards immediately drew their sword, however before anyone could speak I released my aura battering them mentally as I passed them placing the princess in her carriage.

"This is Ken, my twin brother!" Princess Alumira all but shouted pointing at a young boy with the same hair color and eye color as her, he takes after his sister it appears with a very feminine look.

"M-my name is not 'Ken'! Alumira I told you not to call me that in public! My name is Kendre, Prince Kendre of Lancard." Prince Kendre said trying to act aloof, but his sister's antics completely ruined it, these two must be only thirteen years old, maybe fourteen.

"I see, then, let's bring you into Durlivan." I said glancing back at the road, "Is that by any chance the symbol of the Tensent Kingdom?"

Immediately all of the guards flicked their heads over to the incoming carriage a thick hostile aura rushing the area.

Take that as a yes.

"How dare you Tesent bastards take the same road as us, Lancard Royal Knights?!" The leading lady knight yelled drawing her blade without a second of hesitation.

"You Lancard dogs are all the same, never observing etiquette to even draw your blades against those you have a peace treaty with." A Tesnent Royal Guard yelled back drawing his blade.

At this point both sides seemed like they were about to burst, a pair of kids came out of the Tensent royal carriage at this point trying to calm down their guards.

Princess Alumira and Prince Kendre did the same.

"We can't fight, it will cause another war...." Princess Alumira tried saying but the leading female knight would have none of it, neither sides knights would.

"Haaaa...." I sighed stepping out between both forces before infusing my aura with a frigid killing intent causing all their attention to stop dead on me.

"This is the land of Agashi Durlivan, to fight and kill here is to disrespect his authority over this land, does the Tensent Kingdom and Lancard Kingdom wish to go against the Scarlet Demon, Agashi Durlivan?" I said trying my best not to cringe in the middle of my words.

Luckily I had to say no more as both sides calmed with my words.

"We will let you off today on account of the scarlet demon." Lancard's Knights said thick with hostility.

"You are the ones who are being let off." Tensent's knights shot back.

"Regardless, let's get to the city, it will be midday soon." I interjected before they could get heated again.

"And who are you? Do you serve the scarlet demon?" Tensent's knights spat out, their pride gushing all over, though Lancard did not say anything but their eyes too oozed of pride.

"I will tell you of my identity once we are at the city, until then, if you wish to get any information from me you will have to defeat me." I replied coldly.

"Hmph! Iter Lunsar of Lancard's Royal Knight Captain is ready." Iter Lunsar? The leading female knight.

"Do not think that simply because we listened to you a moment ago that you can disrespect us, Cansei Yenfre Tensent's Royal Knight Captain is ready." Cansei Yenfre, that's a strange name to give a pretty woman.

"I see, then come at me together, I don't have a lot of time to spare." I replied standing in position.

"Hmph!" Both snorted at the same time angrily glaring at the other before striking.

Feeling the incoming killing intent submerged blades I smiled a crooked smile, following the feeling of killing intent I didn't have to look as I dodged their blades, however they are not Knight captains for nothing, both of them instantly rotated their center of balance striking once more, however I am no novice either.

After dodging both attacks I feinted an attack onto Iter which she moved back to evade leaving Cansei open for a full frontal attack.

Dropping my right shoulder I faked a right and struck with my left leg instead landing a heavy strike at the joint where armor could not be seen sending her to the ground.

Swiflty spinning left I dodged Iter's sword grabbing her wrist as she attempted to swing once more and flipping her onto her back hard dislocating her wrist.

"With this, the battle is over, Iter your sword hand is dislocated and Cansei you knee is dislocated." I said lightly to which both lowered their heads refusing to meet my eye nor scream.

"Cansei!" "Iter!" Suddenly the yells of the both kingdoms royalty sounded as they ran forward to their respective knight captains, the other knights wanting to do the same but my aura restraining them for fear of me killing their knight captains.

"How could you!" Princess Alumira shouted hitting me on the chest.

"I thought you were a good person!" Prince Kendre yelled frowning as he knelt by Iter.

"Who are you? How could you take on both of our kingdom's knight captains and win barehanded?" An unfamiliar boy of Tensents royalty said fearfully.

"You must be one of the Scarlet Demon's close aids to be able to do this, are you the Silver Flash, Nefamiti?" Silver Flash?

Suddenly bursting out laughter I felt tears forming in my eyes in seconds as the air left my body, everybody now staring me at like I'm insane.

"So you are the Silver Flash!" The unfamiliar Tensent Royal princess said accusingly, "How could you do this! Your master will hear of this!"

At her words I laughed even harder, Nefamiti, you've really been tagged with a good name! I'm sure your speed at that is renowned in all the kingdoms....!

"Agashi Durlivan already knows, now come with me." I said as the laughter died down, reaching out I put their bones back in place without trouble, "No more interruptions I hope."

No response, eh.

I guess I did just wipe the floor with their Royal Knight Captains and by extension their pride.

"I'm Prince Denu of Tensent Kingdom, Silver Flash." Young, maybe fourteen, surely not older, blonde hair and blue eyes, tanned, this prince seems to like going outside.

"I am Princess Serli of Tensent Kingdom, and I will not forget this." Around thirteen perhaps? Blonde hair blue eyes as well, though not very tanned, likely a flower of the palace.

"Yes, yes." I said taking point before whispering to the forest fairies, "Tell Yu to relay to Alias that we will be having Royal guests and prepare the main lobby."

"Okay, here's your shirt...." A fairy replied as a shirt fell out from a tree, the fairy that did it quickly escaping before I could catch which one it was.

Quickly putting it on I walked forward no longer caring if they followed in closely or not.

Neither Knight Captains spoke to me or eachother anymore, the royalty riding their carriages in silence.

During the trip back several of Hardvar's agents came by and left after seeing me leading them, no longer feeling the need to watch over them if I'm here.

Soon we arrived at Durlivan where the guards saluted and allowed the two royal familes inside without a fuss on my account.

We quickly arriving at the estate.
