-ASSSP!!!~*"
At long last, I regained consciousness. In a panic, I checked the in game clock. Only 1 hour has passed since Maximus brought me in here, 'But, how could something like that be... oh.
In this room, time must be slowed down.'
If my conclusion was correct, then I had nothing to worry about. To confirm, I checked again and counted to 60. In that minute I counted, only 1 second passed by. I spent 60 hours in this room absorbing that heart.
In this game, some spaces move faster than the base game. This usually shows how important places are, since the faster time "moves," the higher magical density that place has. Magical density can grant players better mental clarity, fortitude, and comprehension which makes these places astronomically valuable no matter who you are.
"Wait!-" I jumped out of my tunnel vision. I wasn't in that calming room anymore. I was back in the mountain. Except this time farther under. Much, much farther under.
I knew this because I was in the class change room for my [Berserkr] class. In my hand was the sword that I had been resting against the ground. Since I have been through this before, I knew what to do. In the center of the room was an altar not unlike the one I last pulled the sword out of.
However, contradicting the previous decaying room I fell to in the past, this one was much more pristine and polished. The walls, ceiling, and floor were all made of a beautiful dark marble with deep red and silver highlights sprinkled about. It was like the universe was in this very room.
Surrounding the place for my sword were meticulously carved norse characters all with small pathways leading to the center.
"*Sigh*"
...
*SHUNK!~*
I stabbed myself with the sword until it went all the way through. This took me back down to that measly 1hp. I swiftly plunged the bloodsoaked slab into its sheath on the altar. This time, instead of me stepping back and watching the blood satisfactorily flow through the pathways to fill up the characters, my hands became fused with the hilt.
"Uhgg! What the hell!"
*ZZttzzttttttz~*
Red lightning came running out of my chest all the way down to the ground of which it charred slightly. The arcs carved their way down the sword till they illuminated every previously dark symbol on the altar with blood and crimson electricity.
My armor and top undergarment were temporarily removed to show what was going on. Scars (or what I'm assuming are scars) I had never seen before were moving into more sophisticated patterns. Down my arms, hands, legs, and feet were lines that stopped periodically to create hollow circles before proceeding forward. This acted as a pathway for the electricity which focused its power even more.
'It seems as if... it wants to go more.'
["Kekekekekekeke~ You're right. They will continue."] The sword was back to talking, ["Those things are your creation, you know. Something about the [Heart of the Storm] awakened an energy within you, and those markings are your body, or souls' way of focusing it."]
["This was most definitely unexpected. The [Óðr] or whatever it calls itself has unlocked even greater potential within the Berserkr class. I don't think I will be able to take anymore waiting, start your rampage quickly!
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAahahah…"]
Slowly, his random burst of laughter quieted down once the red lightning coming from my chest did as well. The lines connecting to the tips of my fingers slowly lost their hue and turned vantablack.

"ONEHUNDRED FUCKING CLASS POINTS!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE SHIT!!!
*Pant~ Pant~ Pant~*
*Grooooaaannn~* I can't keep this shit up mannnn~"
Last time, I only got 20 CPTs to start. Granted, everything was at least 5 cheaper, but still. At my final tier test, I got 200 CPTs, this quest gave me half that! Somehow, I feel like this game is trying to kill me…
'Damn, I guess I can only rely so much on my memories. This game is waayyy too fucking huge.'
It's good that something this heaven defying happened so early on, breaking my trust with my memories. 'After all, there's no way things will stay the same now that I have this!.'
A short little series of arcs of blood red electricity came out of the tips of my fingers.
The most valuable thing about the stuff I have uncovered about my memories has always been my experience. But before, the second most important to me was just the general knowledge. Currently, I can only use this as a base for what I do, there will always be something greater that awaits me apparently.
"*Sigh~~*" Pushing my surprise away, I made my choice. First, I used my points to evolve my two <★★★> skills into their respective upgrades. [Bloodthunder Ripple] is a much more powerful version of [Blindside] even if you just looked at the name. The description goes like this:
(Action) With a single thought, teleport up to 40m in any direction up to 3 times in quick succession. [+]
[Bloodthunder Ripple] is similar to that of the mage/summoner's blink skill, only with a little more of a cooldown at 6s per teleport (30s if all are used at once) and 3 charges instead of 1. In battle, especially those that last more than the cooldown, it is completely indispensable.
[Bloodstorm] Is even nuttier; (Action) With a single thought, flood your body with the energy of Ire's [Óðr], supercharging yourself with an added 50% STR and AGI. Also, player and weapon weight are reduced by 80% for the duration (10s). [+]
Somehow, that simple weight reduction skill had been upgraded to a real rampage skill! Already, reducing weight increases attack speed, but increasing STR and AGI directly? Insane!
It doesn't take much thinking to discern what rampage skills are. Basically, they are used for quick but temporary boosts in power. They all have massive cooldowns, only usable a few times per day ([Bloodstorm] having a whopping 3h cooldown!). On top of this, they all have their secret backlash, with most draining your hidden stamina bar by a great amount. Still, they are incredibly rare. Any player who has one gains an instant and reliable last resort. Even players of average skill can kill players and/or beasts above their level with one.
My next choice is only natural. [Óðr's War] is just too good. Any skill I add to it will rocket this style type skill into new planes of existence. Style skills are one of the main selling points of Legacies (pinnacle unique classes, which is what the Berserkr is now), increasing efficiency, power, and even reducing stat page clutter. The skills it combines [Bloodthunder Crash], Slash], and Bolt], all have great effects as expected from the Berserkr Legacy.
[ [Óðr's War (Lv.1)] <★★★★>: (Style) [+]
[Bloodthunder]
- Crash: (Action) Perform an overhead slash to release a powerful bloodlightning bolt on the impact area. Damage increased by 70% and stun enemies for 3s inside the 5m blast radius.
- Slash: (Action) Perform a wide slash to release a powerful arc of bloodlightning, increasing damage by 50% with an added [Electrocuted (Bloodthunder)] status effect [1].
- Bolt: (Action) Lodge your weapon into your enemy to release a powerful bloodlightning bolt dealing 65% damage .2 seconds after initial damage with an added [Electrocuted (Bloodthunder)] status effect. ]|
Many people would die for this. Literally. Style type skills allow for everything in them to be leveled at the same rate. Furthermore, any skills added and evolved through style skills will be brought up to the same power level of the rest.
Granted, not every type of skill can be added to a style. Only the more basic skills (in this case direct attack), aka foundation skills [2], are able to be added. I am lucky to have gotten [Blindside] because it is one of the only non-foundational skills that can be evolved through a class.
Next is my last choice. It is between [Bloodstorm Burst] and [Bloodstorm Rush].
To be honest, I don't need burst. It would be better if I had just 10 more CPTs, but I'm already satisfied without one last choice. So, I chose [Bloodstorm Rush].
This skill is quite powerful. Boasting a blinding 50% increase of my movement speed. The weight reduction has only increased a bit from my leveled up state to 35% on each. It states that the bloodthunder from [Óðr] residing in me will activate, causing arcs of bloodlightning to flow out of my body along with the winds [Gale] produced before. That takes away the good addition of secrecy that [Gale] brings, but it'll look damn cool.
At this point in the game, I will probably be the flashiest player out there (even worse than mages since most don't have their big spells yet). I will look akin to an evil Thor, smiting anything and everything that gets in my way.
--------
[1]: The [Electrocuted] status effect stuns the target in short ticks. With (Bloodthunder), each tick deals 10% of the base damage.
[2]: Foundation skills are normally found in the early levels of the game through purchase from a master. These are used as bases for your first class skills. Take for example; [Blink]. If one changes into an Inferno Sorcerer from a fire based mage, it would turn into [Spark Steps], adding an extra charge but increasing the recharge time.
