"On the contrary. I can see what it might be. It could be a girl, or it could be a boy. It's fifty-fifty. I can see endless possibilities and outcomes, but we won't know for certain until it's closer to the due date."
"Which will be? You refuse to go to the doctor because you can already tell if it's healthy or not. But I think you should still see one, just in case your foresight is slightly wrong."
"You are always so pessimistic. Fine, I will let you know one thing. If it's on time or late, it will be a boy. If it's early, it will be a girl. The due date is January 1st."
"New Years? That's in a couple of weeks. I'm surprised your baby bump isn't bigger." He laughed and kissed his wife's stomach.
"I'm just dreading the paperwork we will have to fill for the GA. Times used to be simple. In a way, I kind of regret having to bring something so precious into this defective world. I know she will do great things though. I don't need to use my foresight to see that outcome."
"Ha! You said she. It's going to be a she, darling. Darling?"
Tears streamed down her cheek as she stroked her stomach, "For the baby's sake, it'd be better off as a boy, his life would be more simple. If the baby is, indeed, a she, then she is going to have quite a hard time in the world. You see, my foresight can see his future, but it can't see hers."
