Tara stood the porclien Unicorn in in the dirt. One side was of pale pink, The other side held a small cork and small series of creaks.
Sealand and Warren watched her.
Tara still held the the small wolf . as she picked up her sandwich and taking a bite while a tear rolled down her her chrek. Tara felt the eyes on her. She placed the wolf plush on the ground, facing the unicorn. She quietly finish her sandwich. Tara tried to pull herself together. She brought a her right clawed hand to her left breast and rubbed where her haert would be. She sat up straight inhaled, then exhaled. She licked her lips, and looked each in the Eyes.
"It starts with my mom getting a phone call..." she paused "... Dad would be home in 30 minutes.
When my mother got of the phone, ask me if I finished packing.
Luckily I had packed within two days of them telling me we where leaving."
My mom walk to me trlling me, 'Tara you need to grab you carry on bag.and bring in down stairs in ten minutes, I have something to yell you'.
I had run upstairs into my room and gabbabed carry on, and opened it had to reorganize. She put 2 shirts, one pair of pants, flops, boot and serval pairs of socks. I Pack my travel tooth brush and paste, in the front pouch pocket along with her small plush wolf and porcelain Unicorn, I went back down the stairs.
Tara looked at the meadow.
"I've been here before. I met You Warren the second time, I was here. You and your brothers." She sighed.
fingering the small Wolf. she continued
" When I sat down, my mother had started to put water and snake in my case." Tara fingered fingered the small Unicorn. " My mom, started to tell me that the world was in chaos. and I was to going to my grandmother. She told me we where in danger, and my great anut has found us. My father burst into the house, yelling at us to go to the back yard." Taers slide down her cheeks. " I never seen my mother move so fast.... My father grab my mini suitcase and we ran out the house." She looked up, glancing at both men. "My Father didn't make it. The air around us as we stepped into yard, was suffocating. My mother push me into a blue circle. I had turned as the house explode. my father sheilde us 'Lunann, teleport now!' an unnatural Black smoke had started to mist threw the fire. my father produce a giant sword." Sqhe looked at her armor cheast plate. " "I watched my Father be crush to death. by a giant creature as he tried to to protect my mother and I." Tara choked. " I still don't know what crushed him, when the police came there was a car onto of him." She took a moment, to weep and started agian. " mother screaming pulled me close as debrie and dirt came at us. Every thing vanished, and I was in this field. My mother was holding me Crying. I screamed for my Father! I screamed and screamed, until my throat was dry and voice gone. My mother hid as fast as she could with me." she paused and pointed to a area, in the distant Meadow. " Theres a Den off to the side over there.
" I rember that Den." Said Warren.
Tara gave a small smile. "Yeah." replied Tara as she now started fiddling with the wolf plush.
"What happen to your mother?" Sealand asked.
Tara looked up. " My mother... She went to help my father. I believe she was in denial, that my father was dead. Then again I believe she was trying to hide me. She died 42 hours later, she had been across town when her car was hit by an 18 wheeler. she died on inpacat."said Tara on a sigh as a tear rolled down her cheek. " Each of these objects hold some of my parents ashes" Tara grew hot, as she rush to explain. " Kev, said that it would help them watch over me better" hopping that it would explain it.
"I think he was right"
Warren rolled his eyes.
Sealand brought his hand to his face, and rubbed his chin. " What is this 'Kev' full name?"
"Kevrul S. Scalval. Kev said his middle name was really hard to say, and I didnt pry." said Tara.
"Hmmmm." Sealad then suddenly stood taking his spear.
"We need to go, it's not safe here."
Tara and Warren stood brushing themselves off.
Tara bent and picked up the unicorn and wolf and put them in her pouch.
she turned to Sealand. "Why did you ask my about Kev?
Sealand regarded her and said. "Time will tell who this Kev is, but it is not my story to tell" he placed a hand on Tara's shoulder. "All o can say is I hope your trust in the Scalval name, because here in this land they are powerful and Dark by nature."
The small amount of belonging from Tara's world hidden in the small shack. She'd have to travel light. with that she made her way to the small island edge, what greater her was Sealand holding up his spear and the water turned into a bridge of water.
" Umm, is it safe?" Tara put her clawed foot on the water and tested it with her weight." would seem so" have way across the water bridge she heard a Yelp, turning in time to see Warren drop into the water below, and Sealand laughing hard. Tara smiled as the boys had there fun. she finish crossing to turn then and see an angry Warren swimming to the bank, not trust that the promising Sealand wiuldmt do it again.
The Sopping wet Warren, stomped up the bank, mumbling about showing off and truth hurts. He gave himself a good shake.
Warren looked at Tara "Pay back is going to be sweet" he chuckled.
Tara rolled her eyes as Sealand approached them and put his arms around the both.
"let the journey to save the worlds of kin, and hopefully octopus will be no longer be a delicacy in yours." he then proceeded to poke Tara in her nose, laughing as she tried to bite it.
Soon after checking supply's and the boys bickering, they started there descent into the Black Wood.
