Chapter 5 - Mandatory Time Skip

Over the next two years Tye worked hard to fulfill the level up requirements which was hard as anyone of sufficient strength which meant level one or two ability wielders.

Tye also discovered something extremely depressing. Well two things, one when he just tried to make a deal with the low level members of his father's gang to strengthen his ability to evolve the Devil's deal he took a portion of aether from the agreed party upon completion of the contract but the catch was if the person had no spare aether or weren't level two they gave their life force instead. Tye put two people into the hospital with no aether to show for it before Lurch stepped in getting his younger brother who had a regeneration type avatar ability to test the power. That was how they discovered the need for spare aether or a higher level which led to the second problem.

Omar told him anyone without means couldn't buy a cultivation method even Omar who had a significant amount of power had no way to and even if someone managed to get one it needed to be compatible or they could risk death or worse. As everyone's ability used aether on the most basic level you needed a method that allowed you to absorb aether from your ability to strengthen your body's ability to channel aether before strengthening your ability to gather more aether and rinse and repeat. If a man had the ability to gain shot laser from light but practiced a method that relied on darkness it would cripple his ability as all the aether gathered from his ability would go straight to powering his ability to channel aether from darkness. But if he had no ability that used darkness then he would be trying to tap an empty keg.

Eventually the keg would burst a hole here Omar paused before backtracking and using a well instead. If he had no ability that used darkness he would only dig an empty well using aether as a shovel and eventually well would be too deep and the aether from his light ability would be in a well too deep for him to draw it back. They were also extremely expensive and even the most basic methods were carried by high level organizations which had methods of making sure their methods didn't get out. Tye had also discovered what Scribe had meant when he said avatar methods had a built in cultivation method. Avatar-Type abilities automatically forced the users body to be more adept in wielding their power making them the strongest ability wielders among the lower levels for the simple fact that they were the only ones who could cultivate making their abilities stronger.

Omar turned out to be an avatar wielder his power was called Descendant of Pazuzu and allowed him to wield wind and shift parts of his body into an animal's. He found that Omar's ability was level 7 after about eight months of observation with scribe and he was about to max it out before it evolved making him one of the strongest beings alive excluding anyone in a sect, people who already evolved their ability, cultivation practitioners, higher tier beings, or anyone who worked as a government enforcer agent it was sort of like being the tallest midget. Omar explained to Tye how everyone needed an organization to strengthen themselves if Tye wanted to go anywhere in life he needed one as well.

When Tye told him of the requirements for evolving his ability Omar had no problem helping anytime he completed a deal of any kind if the person met the contract requirements he had Tye sign a contract with the other party. Omar even gave reduced rates to any avatar-ability wielder who took out a loan and signed a contract with Tye's ability which gained an experience point every time someone paid back the loan therefore completing the deal.

However Tye found that it was a lot harder to find in debt avatar-ability wielders then he thought it took two years of hard searching and to be completely honest some manipulation for avatar-type wielders right on the precipice and again to be completely honest some who weren't. But he had done it. He completed the final deal yesterday and went home to deal with the level up. He opened his eyes to see a floating text in front of him.

Tye frowned "What happened to the words there." the augment still named Scribe frowned "I don't know it-" suddenly there was a chuckle from everywhere interrupting the augment.

"Aw that's adorable do you think that just because you don't take an exact name you won't have my attention lucky for you I approve of how you do business and continue to amuse me you've earned a reprieve from any punishment toodaloo."
