"But I have the invitation here!" Nie Zhen was fuming with anger as she was denied entry to the masquerade ball.
It wasn't easy for her to get the invitation for the ball. She had to bribe a few person just to be given the invitation. That's why she couldn't allow her efforts to go down the drain.

The car drives off through the dark night after Li Han ordered Driver Yan to go back.

As Li Han opened his mouth to reply, Driver Yan braked suddenly. Li Han and Ye Xing's body jerked forward and almost crashed the seat at the front.

"I'm sorry, young master. Someone suddenly crossed the road." Driver Yan tried to explain.
Li Han wanted to get out of the car to assess the situation but was stopped by Tang Bolin.
"Let me check the situation."
Tang Bolin opened the car door to take a look. He saw a young lady lying on the road.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he helped her out.
Nie Zhen, who almost got hit by the car, checked her body. She felt her body ached although there was no physical injury. She almost let out a chain of curses at her luck.
Today's just not my day, she thought.
"Don't worry. I'm okay." Nie Zhen rubbed her arms. Luckily, the car managed to stop on time and she was saved from being hit.
"By the way, is the car okay? Even if it's not okay, you can't ask me for money to repair it, alright? For your information, I have no money. Even my dress and my heels are borrowed from my friend," Nie Zhen said. She recognized the car. After all, she'd been a young lady from rich family. This car must have cost a fortune.
The corner of Tang Bolin's mouth twitched.

"Are you going to the ball too?"
Without waiting for their reply, she pointed at Li Han. "Then, I choose you as my partner!" She announced confidently.
That's it! She could attend to ball as someone else's partner! With this, she won't be stopped at the entrance!
