Chereads / The Vampire and the Boy / Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

We arrive at school earlier than everyone else, so we quickly run inside the lobby area of our school to wait. A half an hour later, the other students begin to show up, so William and I split up from the others and head to Mrs. Wolfsbane's class.

"Hello Mr. Catson and Hannah. You two are the first to arrive. Go on, take your seats and chat for a while. I won't be listening, I promise." Mrs. Wolfsbane says with a grin.

I giggle and head to my desk, William sits in his desk next to mine. I whisper to William, "If you had to guess, what kind of supernatural do you think Mrs. Wolfsbane would be."

William whispers, "I would have to guess werewolf. Of course it's all fictional, so obviously she's human like everyone else here at school. It would be cool to meet a werewolf though!"

I smile and nod, "It sure would be." I write something down in my notebook and show it to William. "I need you to tell the others to pretend not to know anything about the supernatural world other than what's in movies." William nods and writes in his own notebook.

"Alright. I'll use our group text then." it says. "Well, if you could be any supernatural in the world, what would you be?" William asks, knowing full well what I am.

I tilt my head and say, "Hmm… That's a hard one… It depends on the advantages each species would have, plus, in a fictional term of speaking, wouldn't Vampires live the longest out of all the other supernaturals?"

William nods, "They would if they don't get killed off by the others first. Like you said, it depends on the advantages of each species. While it would be cool to live forever you would end up going crazy if you never drink human blood. So Vampires have their advantages and disadvantages. Werewolves however could probably live a lot longer than most of the other supernaturals since they would feed on normal animals like deers and stuff." He says.

"Yeah. If you think about it, humans wouldn't exist in the world because there would only be animals and the other supernaturals, so Vampires would die pretty quickly, but what about ghosts?" I ask.

William smiles and says, "Well, they're already dead and don't need to eat, so they would be around until they felt they could move on."

The rest of the class arrives and school begins.
