Chapter 12 - Stunned

When Su Xiqin received Ji Qingyang's phone call, she had just picked up her son from school. After the phone call, she immediately called a taxi and headed towards Yun Tang.

After hopping onto the taxi, she gave Tang Xi a call. "Xi-Xi, are you off work?"

"I'm about to leave, are we hanging out tonight?!" Tang Xi's enchanting voice came through the phone.

"Let's meet now. Head to Yun Tang and just go to the customer services area," Su Xiqin said concisely.

"Wow, you're quick this time!"

"Don't waste time, hurry hurry. Bye."

She didn't wait for Tang Xi's response and hung up the call. The little Mo Jintian who was sitting upright beside her stared at her with his big round eyes and asked in a cute tone, "Su-Su, do you still have to go to work?"

Su Xiqin reached out her hand and patted his head that had a mushroom haircut. "Eh, you wait for Aunt Xi at the customer services, and she'll bring you back home. I'll head back once I finish work."

Mo Jintian blinked his big eyes and looked unhappy. Perhaps Su Xiqin saw his expression, so she swiped his nose tip with her hooked finger as she said, "I'll be back home soon."

Mo Jintian turned his head away as he crossed his chubby arms in front of his chest and crossed his stubby legs as well; it was the typical expression of an angry Little Milk Bun.

Su Xiqin knew that her son didn't like waiting for her alone, and it was mainly because he didn't want her to overwork herself; However, she had to go for this opportunity in order to secure the collaboration.

"Just this once, and there won't be anything like this in the future." She stuck out a finger.

Mo Jintian turned his head back around and blinked his big eyes as he said, "Then I'll wait for you here."

"What if you get hungry later?"

Mo Jintian uncrossed his chubby arms and grabbed his bag on the side as he unzipped it. It was like a magic show as he took out a bottle of milk for kids, a piece of cake, and a cookie, and he presented them to Su Xiqin like they were treasures.

"I'll eat these if I'm hungry."

Su Xiqin looked at the food and guessed that it was probably one of his schoolmate's birthday today and the parents gave those out to celebrate together.

"You might not be hungry, but Aunt Xi will be!"

"She's an adult; she'll find food if she's hungry. You don't have to worry about her."

Su Xiqin couldn't do anything and had to agree in the end, or else an angry Little Milk Bun would cause her more headaches.

After they arrived at Yun Tang, Su Xiqin left Little Milk Bun with the receptionists at customer services and repeated her words again before she left.

She took the elevator and arrived at the reserved suite that Ji Qingyang mentioned. In front of the suite, she gave Ji Qingyang a call, and Ji Qingyang told her to head straight in. Su Xiqin patted her shirt and knocked before she walked inside.

There was only Ji Qingyang in the suite, and he stood up upon her arrival. He was young, around his thirties, and had an elite look. He was quite handsome with a deep gaze, but he lacked some sharpness with his eyes curling upwards at the tips.

"Hello Director Ji, I'm Su Xiqin." Su Xiqin smiled as she reached out her hand.

Ji Qingyang was a bit stunned when he saw Su Xiqin. Although he had seen her in the newspapers, this was his first time meeting her in person. He didn't expect that she would be several times prettier in reality compared to the photos, and he couldn't help but to be stunned by her beauty.

However, he had seen many people and been through many situations before, so he quickly recovered and shook her hand.

"Hello, Ms. Su."

After they had greeted each other, Ji Qingyang invited her to sit down and started to talk business.

...

Mo Jintian sat in Yun Tang restaurant's customer services area and looked around left and right with his big eyes. He wasn't afraid at all since this wasn't the first time he had followed his mom to work.

He got bored of waiting for Tang Xi, so he grabbed a small playball from his Wuba backpack and started to play on his own.

As he played, he accidentally dropped the ball, and it rolled away until it stopped beside a man's nicely polished black leather shoe. Mo Jintian quickly jogged over. Just as he picked up his playball, he met eye-to-eye with a pair of deep pupils.
